Yeah I see satellites do this all the time. Go stargazing starting at sunset for 1-2 hours and I guarantee you will see this happen at least once. Sometimes you will see ones fade in and out as if they are timed perfectly. Maybe they are spinning at a set speed?

This is a satellite. Some of them can appear very bright as the sunlight reflects off of the solar panels. It may be dark on the surface, but they are high enough so that the sun's light will still reflect off of them.
