  • L♥ve this song,, Maurice was very good ...

  • inesquecivél linda linda

  • fantastik

  • So amazing. They ALL have VERY unique voices, yet together they harmonize so well. Man I miss Maurice. My parents grew up on them, thus I grew up on them. Very distinct group. I love how they adapted their music to what was popular every decade. so cool.

  • I think I just assulted the replay button...

  • @Emabrutal86-Couldn't agree with u more. I have the same routine.

  • I'm listening to Bee Gees everyday, day and night. It's like my routine before i'm going to work, when i'm working and before i sleep. I'm totally addicted to their songs. There have no cure in the world to make me forget them especially Maurice who was the talented and multi-instrumentalist. Damn, thanks god for giving me a chance to know and love their music. ;)

  • The lyrics are beautifully written. The song simply makes me adore men more ~

  • I LOVE THIS SONG ! It's my favoruite for all time ! The Sound is perfect, The Lyrics is more as perfect and keep an eye on the performance ! Thanks a lot !

  • This song gives me chills in my back, especially from 2:42.

  • Is the whole or part of this performance pre-recorded? Do you recognize any of Robin or Barry`s voice? One thing`s for sure, it's an improved version of the original version when it comes to the vocals from 2:43.

  • You will forever be in our hearts Mo, may you rest in peace and sing with Dean Martin and the other greats that have long since pasted before their time.

I absolutely love this track the words are so clear in your mind and hold so much meaning.

  • This was written by Mo about his battle with alcoholism .Love to hear him sing ...miss u Mo xx

  • @annettelane He never stoped going to AA even tho he was sober 10 or 11 years when he died. He had sense to know he would ALWAY need the suport from AA and of course his family wich he had. Relapse is ALWAYS POSSABILE and he knew that too. I always loved Mo and always will. My specail favorite Brothers Gibb my Mo. RIP MO

  • Do somebody know if it is there "the dice was cast" or "the die was cast"?

  • Die was cast it should be.

  • Fits my life perfect !

  • That's how I actually feel right now - that stupid man in the middle...

  • aca se luce Maurice ,es un justo homenaje para un gran cantante ,Carlos

  • Maurice is fantastic in the lead. He didn't give himself enough credit for singing leads. I miss him so much.

    RIP Man in the Middle.

  • Last night on "Dancing With The Stars" on ABC-TV (US), I saw Barry and Robin Gibb perform as the Bee Gees (although I thought they had retired the name after Maurice died). They sang "You Should Be Dancing" to commemorate their 50th year in show business. I wish Barry and Robin the best, however, It's just not the same without Maurice or younger brother Andy.

  • @Jaybird1103

Of course it isn't, but would Maurice have wanted them btoh to never work with each other ever again like they were?

Nothing is the same without something, that is the nature of changing something; I think it's the best form of tribute, everything they do from now on keeps the memory of Maurice alive.

  • I agree with you. I've been doing a lot of listening to their music this morning and re evaluating. I came up with this...

Maurice was the cake pan that held the cake together. Robin being the cake and Barry being the icing on the cake. Robin can go alone, as a cake can also go alone but most of us would rather have the cake that is frosted. Maurice is now gone and so Robin has to hold up the form and realize, even though he can go it alone, the cake pleases more people with the frosting.

  • Fair analogy.

You'll find that Robin pushes himself vocally far more when Barry is present, he recently spoke about how he wants to plese Barry when he writes, and I reckon he also does when he performs.

  • Robin's recent studio songs have been superb however, have a listen to 'Instant Love' from last year and 'Wing And A Prayer' from 2008.

  • WOW! What a great analogy! And I agree with you: it makes so much sense! The Bee Gees will always be a great wonder, although we will continue to miss Maurice immensely.......

  • @LukeShoveller The problem is Mo isnt a SOMETHING he is a SOMEONE, it isnt like loseing or missing a toothbrush. I love Barry and Robin but I think they should use a differant name if they want to sing together, just a personal opion

  • They know that what ever they do, they'll always be referred to as 'The Bee Gees' in any case - Robin has said as much in every other interview he's done for the past 3 years. Being a 'Bee Gee' is something they're both proud of, and hence are happy for it to continue.

They could change it for when they come together now and again, but it could be a PR mess and a heavy handed way of dealing with the legacy. But it's an issue with two sides, but they'll know what Maurice would approve of.

  • @LukeShoveller Ok, I do see your point. And if you think about it it isnt about what we want or dont want. I am thinking Mo s , wife and childern really have a say in this since Mo cant say. If Mo s wife and childern are good with it that is what ttuly matters anyway. It is possabie they asked Barry and Robin NOT to change it. I just REALLY miss my Mo. But the wife and childern s say should be the final say

  • Indeed, I'm sure they would have made sure with Yvonne, Adam and Samantha.

  • He is still w/us teaching us about the man in the middle

  • Mo Sadly missed, he was great, and

always with a smile. rip MO

  • I love the songs Maurice does leads and solos on...great tune...

  • i love this n Maurice is doing d leads

  • Really a great song, Maurice does indeed sound awesome.

  • Wow. I'm only a young guy and should be in to this new 'rock and roll' culture. But the Bee Gees are so fucking cool. I really would like to see them live, if there all 'alive' and 'kicking'?

  • they r alive but only Maurice has passed a way lah

  • Fantastic song from a beautiful man. Mo sounds unbelievable. I do wish he could have been out in front more. I love his voice and miss him terribly.

  • we all miss him n his lovely voice

  • Great sound ! Cool video !

  • On 1:08 he looks cool

  • I thought he was great as always, always

smiling, just flowing with the flow, other seemed to take charge, MO was great, and could play any instrument, I wonder which one wanted to start the group, and wonder why Robyn play a instrutment?

  • Is it just me, or does robyn do seem as close as the other brothers, I watch the pictures, and just dont seem as close or care, it is probally me, just wandering I liked all of them, but Robyn, least fav.

  • lol...same here!

maurice and barry are always sharing jokes and laughter on stage ...robin(although performs superbly) never jokes with them that much

  • Robin seems like a very quiet guy.

  • the bee gees are phenomenal!

  • the best song of the last bee gees album

  • it was made to me. After nowhere man, beatles.

  • pure genius. love this song.

  • i think barry lost the words in at 1:21

and why did maurice never sang solo song's before? he's an excellent singer!

  • Maurice did do the main vocal in 'Wildflower' but thats about it I think.

But I agree, hes excellent in solos, just like his brothers :)

  • Maurice didn't sing lead very often (I guess his voice wasn't quite as good as Barry's or Robin's), but here's another few songs in which he sang lead: Closer than Close (Still Waters) Omega Man (Size isn't Everything) Above and Beyond (Size isn't Everything) House of shame (One) Wildflower (Living Eyes) Walking on Air (This Is Where I Came In) Elisa (A Kick in the Head is Worth 8 in the Pants) Lay it on me (Two Years On) Railroad (Tales) That's all I can think of right now. Hope that helps
  • If you want to hear a GREAT song with Maurice singing, listen to "First of May" He sings it with Lulu. It is AWESOME, in my humble opinion. Let me know if you agree.

  • Yes, I agree. Its touching this performance, seems like they felt what they were singing about. i love to see it even if it makes me sad. Its indescribable what a big loss it is that Mo passed away...

  • I Agree full whit that!

  • Hey, Maurice sings very well how solist. I want see more videos of he singing.

  • Barry doesn't remember the lyrics correctly...

  • I Love BEE GEES eversince i was a kid and i was born mid 80's !! until now in my 20th century world forever BEE GEES!! rest in peace dear Maurice..thank you Bee Gees!!

  • i love this song

  • I have to say that Maurice was my favorite Bee Gee. Not because of his voice like Barry and Robin, but because of his sense of humor and how much he would have fun on stage. This song is one of my all time fav Bee Gees songs. It really showed the human side of him and the song really gets to me because of my own problems with alcohol. Maurice was an awesome person and I REALLY miss him!

  • I agree with every part of what you wrote. It's exactly how I feel in every aspect and it's refreshing to know that.

  • Mo zawsze był moim ulubieńcem. I chyba tak zostanie. Nie umniejszając roli pozostałych braci... Wszyscy są wspaniali.

  • they are not only an icon, but in my heart the bee gees isalso a legend, a legend that is everlasting!!!i also have a copy of this concert

  • the greatest...the best...so deep, spiritual and meaningful...beegees forever...

  • Thank for the video. I have this DVD.I love it. One of the last concert of The Bee Gees before we lost Mo. They are my all time favorite group....

  • i have the dvd live by request :-)

  • me too :)

  • the best song of the last bee gees album

  • such a strong song from mo and an awsome song about his life and his battle with alcoholism love u mo

  • Well it wasn't a single so you were never really going to hear it much on the radio.;)

The studio recorded version of Man In The Middle is really different to this live one, the arrangement is varied as well, I've always thought that this live rendition is the best out of the two, the original has too many layers of Maurice's vocal all over it and someone has turned the volume up making it clip.

This version, with just one vocal track, is incredible.

  • From Italy with love....

  • bee gees ,,,,you are my life..

  • This was one of the songs it seems the Bee Gees never released. I used to listen to the radio when i was growing up, but I can't remember ever hearing Man in The Middle
