  • hi

  • What would you say is the best sound card for gamers

  • i got tyhat soubd card and bose compainion 3 speakers and the sound is wicked but now im looking for better asus card wondering if anyone knows if i get a higher prices card its gonna make any real diffrenmce? cheers

  • Creative X-FI better

  • i got a question is a souncar very much better then an onboard souncard,got a p8 z68 v

  • @xerxes278 With the right Speakers, YES

If you have a headset, get it !

The DOlby Surround will give you A MASSIVE improvement in games to determine where the enemys are. I use a USB DOlby Soudn card only with this feature. ANd it is great. Even massive improvement in music quality :)

And a PCIe card is good for future use :)

  • @MrGermanBratwurst Is this card better than the Asus Xonar Xense?

  • does this card work with windows 7?

  • @tall1222

Yep, 100%. Latest drivers are very stable.

  • So wait, this is basically the same card as Xonar D1 except its pci-e and Xonar is pci? Im thinking of buying D1 and its coming at the end of the week, so im still gathering info :D

  • if my motherboard sound dont have no sound can the sound card support on my motherboard

  • I find it funny how people look at the prices and dismiss the card as way worse than the D2X. Look at the specs of the card. It's a really good card technically for the price.

  • only bad thing about this card it's that it doesen't look sexy at all

  • the ASUS Xonar Xense by seenheiser is much better ..this card is a joke ...

  • @valdarmort look at the price difference...

  • @valdarmort this card is 2 years old idiot and cost 2 times less then the Xense.

  • can I run this on w7 and does Have 7.1 virutual speaker I have a seenheiser pc 350 headset.

  • if want to rec my guitar on my pc what sound card i use ?

  • Wow this guy is so under the marketing thumb.

  • Hmm which is better? This card or the creative x fi titanium?

  • @destinyboom this card is a totally different league. this card is going to be little better than anything creative has got. or if you want the best sound card money can possible buy, go with Xonar Essence STX.

  • Soundcard*

  • Does this sound support win7? Planning to get one

  • He's telling the people that very soundcard is the best one look at the reviev of the or the asus xonar d2

  • so the microphone goes on the top one then only?

  • any compatability issues with windows 7?

  • @Aquan1111

I don't know, did you figure it out ?

  • so asus cards work any better with asus boards?

  • I wondered that too :)

  • What sound card is good and has DTS

  • Asus Xonar DX2

  • Is this good for music?

  • OHHHHH YEEEEESS!!

  • whats the difference with the dx and d1? they're the same price.

  • yea whats the difference

  • This or X-fi Fatality extreme gamer pro?

  • this is like...half the price, so u cant really compare em...

  • yeah i got the x-fi fatality pro gamer for 65$ so it was a really good deal.

  • dang.... it is...gonna buy THIS card for about that price soon...dont realy have a choice :(

  • yeah it was on sale for 50$ but i was too late =/ and found the x-fi for 65 so got it instead

  • Well this work on gm5478 model gateway?

  • does dolby virtual speaker only come with sound cards or can I buy it as software?

  • u can , but it still depends on the codec of your soundcard, try cyberlink,

  • what sound card should i get if i never watch movies on my pc but I play lots of games?

  • soundblaster xfi xtremegamer

  • lol thanks but too late i bought my pc 2 months ago

  • hi do you need "external 4pin power" to make this sound card working?

  • Yes you need to plug the 4 pin floppy power cord, i have it.

  • internal, floppy

  • Furthermore the average user wouldn't really think of going beyond onboard audio....so your also point is moot.

  • 192khz isnt overkill at all, welcome to the world of HD(yes HD audio). 96khz is from the days of dvd, but in 2008 with the likes of bluray,sacd,dvd-audio, hd gaming etc........192khz is absolutely necessary.

  • The move from 96khz to 192khz becomes more negligent. What matters more is the bit depth of the audio- like moving from 16 bit to 24 bit. The difference in dynamic range is a more noticeable improvement.

  • yes definitely

  • lol true that

  • What the hell do you expect its a sound card review

  • srry babe i kno it is im a geek too y u think i watched this damn negative 4

  • please strip u hot sexy ass

  • Albert is the coolest geek Ive ever met... lol

  • lololl

  • @playero713 Logan's pretty cool too, if you've seen him on TigerDirect/CompUSA.

  • lol they only just updated CSS and the HL series to support 5.1 and 7.1 like 2 days ago...

  • I have 2.1 speakers and I can tell where people are coming from in all directions

  • LOL a card like this for counter strike? FAIL

  • Why !?

  • Shut up it's not free.

  • does anyone even use 7.1 soud???? everyone just uses 5.1

  • On the XFX 680i, their newer BIOS's do not work with the D2X, it will not detect the card at all, I'm wondering if this will work.

  • geez, $90 for this card...I wish I were rich!

  • u dont have 2 b rich 2 have 90 buks

  • Lol...yeh i wouldnt life be sweet with 90 buks.. man I would travel the world and buy a house.

  • In Cambodia. :P

Anyone else like this guy? I do.

  • @CloneCommander50 His name's Albert, he's a pretty cool guy. ^_^

  • yo albert im in the market for a sound card how does this rate against the x-fi cards??

  • ahahahahha

  • 192khz ?

I work in the music industry and I don't really know anyone who records over 96khz.

come to that I don't really know much pro gear over 96khz

and also it more depends on the quality of the speakers you use more than the sound card

you could have 192khz and some crappy wall mart special speakers and it wouldn't make any difference

but good card none the less =]

  • im afraid i beg to differ your telling me if you didnt have a 5.1 system top of the rage with high definition 320 kps audio content your not going to tell the difference with a tinny 80 dollar system lmao.. its like the difference between dts and dolby digtal..

  • thats not what im saying at all, your gonna notice the difference between a shitty 80 dollar system and a thousand dollar one but im saying for the average user 192khz is overkill, cd quality is 44.10 khz and i dont really know of any studios that record at over 96khz

so really your point was a bit unrelated to mine but anyhoo =]

  • the sblive is just fine for gaming, and cheaper.

  • nice card

    I'll get it

  • Albert gets my approval.

  • sound cards own any on-board sound solutions

  • Nice keep up with the good work!

  • boom yah XD
