Joyee your comment is to crude and to brash man.Akira doesn't have to live of some other people art as you're saying and as for you "Don't quot other writers line" to make your point or are you making a living this way, Ha...ha..
Shut up. You know Bonham is nowhere close to this guy. Plus, have you ever heard of Casiopea? That's the fusion band he plays in. And it's his and other's original music. That band is where he got famous. Also the "Synchronized..." videos with the other drummer. So just do a little research before making brash accusations.
Erm... you are all forgetting one big point Bonham was around waaaaaaaaaaay before akira. and if Bonham were around today im sure that he could learn to use this technology and master it in a short while. If you were to compare these guys playing on pure acoustic sets im sure you would think differently on the matter.
I don't doubt that he could "master" using electronic sets and stuff like that, but the thing is, he's dead. So, he's not around to get better. I know that's a god-awful thing to say, but it's true. Don't get me wrong, Bonham is the best rock drummer to ever record music. Better than Neil Peart. But Akira is another level of drumming. That's all I think.

john bonham would break him in two and put the pieces in coffee cans. this guy is making a living playing along with other artists' music and the youtubers fawn over it, but real artists do not like this sort of thing. a famous writer once said, "it you see so & so (a college professor who writes about him) snooping around the property, just shoot him. I do not advocate shooting anyone but it illustrates the point, those who do art and those who hang around and make their living from it.
Umm... he does play other's music often.... but the reason why it's cool is that he's playing every part using electronic pads. You can't see it on this vid, but the entire guitar part is done via triggering. Also its an EDUCATIONAL clinic: so maybe he does make a living playing other's music, but I find it totally warranted if it's helping a new genration of drummers become familiar with a drummer (bohnam)who deserves this respect. I agree copyright infringement is bad, but thi's isn't the case
Definitely rocks but sounds like Bill Bruford doing Pierre Moerlen doing Bonham HaH HaH Hee Hee

I saw this guy live, he is simply awesome.
He also plays with Casiopea's bassist Tetsuo Sakurai. The duo is called Jimsaku.
And Joeey, dude I'm afraid you are mistaken, Bonham is just OKAY compared to this guy.
He is good, but Akira owns him anytime.
Excuse me for my bad english :(

Ok point taken. I was just thinking about IF he was around today. The big IF lol.

Akira is a completely different style... Most of the time, so it's pretty hard to compare.

I think if Bonham were here today he wouldn't bother with the new technology.
