WM6 APACHE SOLUTION (TRICK) FOR WI-FI PROBLEM

i have same phone...i have 5.0 and cannot get wifi to work on my home network can you help?u made it look so easy

I keep getting this error when I try and activate the phone. Saying a wireless radio must be attached to use this phone. It happens anytime I try to call #228.

They don't know how to fix it. any ideas?

I must say...i have not the slightest clue. Wi-fi has nothing to do with the phone service. if the wi-fi is turned on, then you should be able to connect to your wireless router and surf the web/email, etc without a problem....btw, sorry for the delayed reply

hey where did u get the Windows mobile 6 for this phone? is it an official patch or hack cause i would prefer to download an official patch in case anything goes wrong. also can u get the black htc theme with the patch u installed.

This is the first WM6 ROM for Apache's, it's not official. Nothing will go wrong. It is really hard to brick these phones. Yes you can use the Black HTC Theme. They have a newer WWM6 where you make your own, also doesn't have these WiFi issues. They have WM6.1 which ROCKS!

Hey great solution. I've been using it for awhile now since I've been using WM6. I don't want to cook up a ROM in the ROM Kitchen. A user at XDA found an old .dll file that fixed this issue. I cant post a link here but if you want the .cab I'll e-mail it out to you.

lol your a bit late on that reply i just figured that out yesterday lol had to reset the router so i could get the defult user name and pw then had to quickly get all the computers to start working again before my mum got home lol but it all worked out fine i made a vid on how to get it done

do u know how to change the network key coz i think thats my problem why i cant conect my psp and the strange thing is i got a laptop and i didnt need a password to connect it please message me back

You have to do that in your wireless router configuration. usually by going to the web browser and typing 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 depending on the brand of your router. also, those are factory default addresses, asuming you have not changed it. username and password should be: admin admin or admin password. hope that helps.

OMG. I have literally put HOURS into trying to fix this!!! Google, regedits, and *GASP* even Microsoft forums... This is an excellent work around. It was *the* most frustrating experience for me in a while! My wife was beginning to actually get agitated that I was spending so much time trying to get this damn thing to work with WPA TKIP. Thank you, thank you, thank YOU!

I have a HTC Touch and I just have to keep trying to get a fix.

you should turn you beam off so it doesnt drain yor battery unles you use it

I use it very often, and my battery life is real good (i usually get up to 2 days). Plus, my phone is charging more than is not most of the time. But thanx for the advice, I DID NOT KNOW THAT WOULD HELP BATTERY LIFE. THANX
