Wow. I guess film makers don't realize how weak plants are. Something as large as a child cannot be captured by a plant because the prey wiuld only need to shift its wieght and there's no mechanism in the plant kingdom that will hold up to it.

Its a movie called Voodoo Island. Explorers are looking for curative rare plants on an island covered with carnivorous people eating plants of diffrent types. The unfortunate fellow in the clip above is of the squirrely type and is shocked into a dazed catatonic state by what he saw. Its a rather muddled movie with a few interesting bits along the way.
