Henry & Anne are the only TV couple that I've actually been able to *feel* the love, passion, and chemistry between, rather than just be told how they feel and how great they are together via dialouge. They really and truly had that "once in a lifetime/soulmate" spark that I don't think either the real Henry or The Tudors version were able to replicate with any future lovers, which makes how their story ended all the more tragic. I find myself going back to seasons 1 and 2 and wishing "if only".

@julizz94 Sorry for the year-late reply (I hate it when people do that to me lol), but I think the answer is: absolutely not. I think he would have stayed with Anne and been satisfied with a daughter, but the backlash to that happy ending would be that the knowledge of his daughter's future superiority would have caused him to become even more insecure and tyrannical and that, since Elizabeth's uprbringing would have been vastly different, she would have become a different person and monarch.

She was just the only one who provided him with a son ( albeit sickly , weak & unfit to rule ) . Anne and Henry's ego needs were quite similar and Anne always had to be right and what not so Henry being not confident in his masculinity became threatened by her and ordered her beheaded . Henry killed Anne because he believed she had bewtiched him, that he wouldnt get a son by her, - well thats his excuse, also that he couldnt divorce again after only 3-4 years of marriage to Anne, and Jane Seymour had been playing the game that Anne had in order to manipulate the king into marrying her - she witheld her favours, just as Anne did. Henry needed his marraige to Jane to be seen as valid, and , I also think that Henry didnt want anyone else to have Anne either, so he beheaded her.

Yes, but he couldnt divorce Anne, even though according to some historians , she agreed to all and any of his terms, he still had her killed - he knew that the country would have a hard time accepting yet another divorce so hot on the heels of this divorce from Kathrine , espcially with all the chaos that ensued from that. He couldve let Anne go, but like I said, he had to show that he had good excuse to cast her aside - that , and like i say, he probably wasnt to keen on others courting her.
