I am currently doing the harmonica song for my theatre company, is it possible to get a similar sound out of a C, A or F harp? I believe (and may be wrong) that an E modulates to Bb, but is there any other way to play in that key?

E, if I can remember well. That's a Hohner Blues Harp, which is my favourite. :)

Yea e sounds right, try lee oskar sometime i prefer them, they last longer and are easier to bend

Would a Hohner Chromonica 64 or CX12 work for this song's solo?

Probably it could be played on a Chromonica, but I think bendings and other bluesy sounds can be played on a blues harp much more easier.

Don't think so, certainly wouldn't sound as good, if you already have one, try it, if not get a marine band or something.
