Im pretty sure scotts car was stage 2 at that time. When he went stage 2.5 he was able to walk away from that same GT for now till the GT gets some more power which i think will be soon.
@m3rob7 yes it is. It is possible that I made a mistake but I believe that this was filmed after Scott upgraded to the 2.5 version. Scott removed the video of our race were the Stage 2 popped it's top and he switched to forged internals.

@m3rob7 The last video I added represents the current state of the cars. They are very close but only with the BMW on race fuel and methanol. Scott has gone though several tunes and upgraded to 116 race fuel. The GT has an upgraded supercharger (Whipple 4.0L) but is still running on pump gas and street tires. The GT still edges out a small victory.

That M3, if he was running meth, had just over 600rwhp. If he wasn't on meth it was closer to 550rwhp.
Stage 3, on meth, is 760'ish rwhp. Not 900. Nowhere close. HPF puts out some outstanding numbers but you won't hit over 900rwhp until you're on race gas and in a stage 4.
@DeadEnd02 In this case the M3 was running race fuel and methanol. I think he claims a HP number in the 720s. Traction is the big problem with the M3. He needs bigger tires.
That is a cool setup, you get the best of both worlds. You also get the heat that comes with it. I think I have done as much to the motor as I want to. The next step is air intake and engine/supercharger cooling.

4.0 supercharged? it has a 5.4 liter which I believe converts to 331 cubic inches of american muscle. and bmw's arent that impressive. a twin turbo'd ford gt will make 1500 horsepower on the stock block, and its streetable.

I guess you didn't notice the title... that is a HPF 2.5. The M3 is faster but just by 1/2 car or so. I would be interesting to see how the HPF cars would hold up to a similar GT running race fuel + meth. This race had the GT (on 93oct) versus the HPF2.5 on 105 + meth.
running full boost with meth or possible then regular fuel... why do you think people run meth? To support higher boost/psi levels.

@suckitgood101: Yes thats probably true. But not in every case. The new Ford Mustang Boss 302 has 446HP N/A with a 5.0 liter engine. And the new Iconic AC Roadster has a 6.9 liter N/A 825HP engine. If you never heard of this car, their is a few videos of it here on youtube.

@suckitgood101: lol Is that a joke?? Ford doesn't have problems making horsepower. Ford has a 3.5 liter V6 not a V8, a V6 that makes just over 300HP naturally aspirated. They also had a 6.2 liter V10 that makes 620HP naturally aspirated, that they had in their Ford Shelby GR-1 concept car.

@lama101 i think stage 3 would be close, but since this is 2.5 the motor is already built up to stage 3 spec, isn't stage 3 just uped boost? and meth injection, i think? so pretty sure you would need stage 4...... which i believe is in the testing process and not for sale yet...... so i'm thinking this M might need n2o to keep..... especially considering that the gt can just put a smaller pulley on and still pull.......

I guess you didn't notice the title... that is a HPF 2.5. The M3 is faster but just by 1/2 car or so. I would be interesting to see how the HPF cars would hold up to a similar GT running race fuel + meth. This race had the GT (on 93oct) versus the HPF2.5 on 105 + meth.

As far as that comment about hpf m3 owns any mustang or corvette... that's probably the dumbest statement I've heard yet. There is no faster american or European. It's all about how much work/time and cash you put it. being an rx7 owner I've seen 1500+ rwhp in some motors. Needless to say that was over 200k spent.

The M3 was running pump gas with a meth kit. It screams! I real sleeper car, you'd never expect that M3 to run like that. It's funny in a badass kind of way. The GT is making around 630 on the ground.

However from car reviews, magazine articles and real statistics; the Modified HPF M3 is much faster.
