  • brilliant

  • Joe is the man...!!! Yee-Hi...:-)))

  • i still think yngwie is better though lol

  • @shredmaster100 ...yngwie is a fretwanker ^^ no soul no feeling just speed ^^

  • yeah thats true but can joe play as fast as yngwie no so yngwie is the superior player because he doesnt just play any old rubbish he actually plays arpeggios and harmonic and melodic minor licks that are fucking hard to master and in case u didnt know he composed his own orchestral arrangments when he played his concerto suite he may be a fat swedish meat ball but yngwie is a very intelligent man

  • @shredmaster100 ...i wasn't sayin YM is stupid dude ;) .... but let me quote R.Blackmore : "YM is good but he is not paganini"..... and about composing orchestral arrangements, a good friend of mine who is about 21yrs now...already did such a thing at the age of 16 ^^ ....i was impressed and she replied : no big deal if you master music theory .....

the same person thought me to read notes in a bar in 45 minutes ^^.....

  • yeah i know music theory as well im no expert at it though but to begin with it is quite simple but playing a guitar with an orchestra must be hard because the only other players ive seen do it are david gilmour=genius steve vai ritchie blackmore and marty friedman but if u have seen yngwie,s concerto on youtube or dvd he sounds like he is part of the orchestra and i havent seen clapton or joe play withan orchestra and they would probably admit that its hard to do that

  • @shredmaster100 ...i agree it may be hard, but i'm sure if clapton or whoever hasn't done it might just be because they don't want to .... YM is overrated.... only fanboys won't agree ^^ ...if seen many play like YM here on youtube... but seldom seen someone play like SRV for example ;) ..covering shredding is just a matter of technique ....but you can't cover feeling ;)

  • dont worry im not a die hard fan of ym i just respect him for his talent and i wish he would write some decent songs every once in a while i mean the last good stuff he did was with alcatrazz and in 85 when he released his rising force albulm after ym had his car accident his playing was not the same and SRV is the best blues player in my opinion he could put real emotion into his playing check out a song called life without you that will almost make you cry its that good

  • Excellent

  • Eddie are you watching bitch.

This is music. Not the Dave retread she ot.

  • that solo...my god

  • His voice sounds like a 60 year old black guy.... It's effin' AWESOME!

  • anyone seen him recently looks like james hetfield

  • my first thought was, who is this elton john looking faggot. and now i'm just confused. the dude is good.

  • this guy had listened to much gary moore, but this is great

  • awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!on awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @milo9422 I sold a man a cbg here in Houston a few months ago, he was gonna come by a couple of weeks ago, but he called and said he would have to take a rain check cuz he was riding arround to different guitar stores with Joe Bonamassa.....What?

  • @keithalan10 your getin around, selling to famous floks, i love it !!!

  • Don't let that man board a plane!!!

  • jimmy page is better joe sounds like hes trying to copie clapton even his sound is similar in this vid

  • @shredmaster100 Joe is ten times the player Clapton is..

  • maybe but without blues players like clapton joe would sound very different to today but i think the best blues players were the originals call me old fashioned but players like robert johnson and son house were masters in their time also muddy waters bb king buddy guy srv and players from thier time were masters srv wasnt from thier time but he was one of the best ive ever heard he was better than hendrix in my opinion

  • @shredmaster100 I agree with the old school comment...but it all comes down to taste, I enjoy loud electric myself...Rory Gallagher, Roy Buchannan, Frank Zappa, Joe Walsh....ps Stevie was awesome, got to see him once a long time ago and didn't even realize who I was seein'

  • lucky to see srv in person he was the best modern blues guitarist ive ever seen and rory and roy were also very talented players also i forgot to mention gary moore but i could never figure out if he was blues rock or metal because he played all styles

  • @shredmaster100 I was very lucky to see SRV three times. Saw Rory G once.

  • you are lucky especially to see srv in my opinion he was the bast guitarist since jimi hendrix and rory gallagher was also very skilled on guitar the only players ive seen in person are ritchie blackmore and gary moore they were great to watch

  • @keithalan10 I so agree. I think Clapton is a great guitarist, but doesn't like up to the title of THE Guitar God

  • @shredmaster100 you are out of your mind. Joe can outplay Clapton any day!

  • How could a person not like this?

  • You say Bruno Mars, I say Guns′n Roses

You say Hannah Montana, I say Aerosmith

You say Owl City, I say Bon Jovi

You say Jonas Brothers, I say Queen

You say Taylor Swift, I say AC/DC

You say Justin Bieber, I say Fuck You

95% of teens these days listen to the same formulaic, crappy pop over and over again. If you′re one of the 5% who still listens to real music, thumb this up, then copy and paste it to at least five videos. Don′t let the spirit of rock and roll die

  • 35 people are souless. Joe B played a guitar solo and Chuck Norris' rectum exploded.

  • No voy a analizar un grosso como es este tipo; me gusta... pero para el blues (esto no es blues), y para el rock (tampoco es rock) es muy flematico, prolijo y decente.

  • Perfect Blues song! I love this emotion of this song so so much, the go go dancer really adds to the emotion of this song!

  • I bought the DVD of the Royal Albert Hall concert but it is far from this concert... I must say that Joe sound better in this video than the entire concert in London but I don't know why... Maybe because of the Strat ? Maybe because Joe sings with much energy ???...

  • leslie west, another genius song writer.

  • Don't let this man board a plane.

  • I agree Joe sounds so much better on a Strat. Either way the man has some extroidenary Talent. I enjoy Hearing him Play.

  • Love the version and his sound on the Strat. But WTF is the deal with the women prancing around on stage?

  • @JanIllum

    She feeds our Blueswoman fantasies.

  • This is the absolutely best version of this song I have ever heard....unfortunately Joe has now moved to mainly fast driving rock blues....just saw him last night in concert... and it was 90% fast rock type songs. I SO LOVE and miss his true bluesy stuff like this song with its haunting guitar solo that just transports you to some other place....beautiful

  • I recently discovered Blues music. I would say 4 months ago, ever since then I cannot listen to anything else that satisfies the soul. Blues is happiness.

  • I can't believe people think he's so great! He's songs are forgettable! He couldn't win American Idol or America's got talent. He'll never be as good as Clapton, Hendrix, Paige or even Danny Bonaduce

  • He plays his heart out and his soul is where the music comes from. He is great and makes it look easy. A King tht has taken over blues.......

  • i looked up the definition of blues rocker in the dictionary. they didnt have a definition, only a picture of this man with a guitar in his hands. because words need not describe joe. hes awesome

  • what PUPs does he use? definitely not standard strat

  • This man will take over for BB King and Clapton when they live this world.

  • i'd fuck this guy and i'm straight, jb is fucking awesome, he's not a guitar god he's fucking mastered it.........completely.

  • @11kirky wtf

  • @11kirky i think he represents a blues guitarist who's keeping to genre alive in times when its becoming ever less popular, much like the effect SRV had on blues in the 80's.

  • its funny to watch him try and preach the blues, as its just not believable. riff machine. zzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • @TheInboil

    jealouss....

  • he sucks

  • I have to say I like his Les Paul sound more than I do his Fender sound.

  • Cheezy but bluesy. ill call it, Blues Cheeze.

  • MERCY!!!!

  • Please Joe, pick up that stratocaster again and play the music we all know you love the most playing, inspired by guys like stevie ray vaughan

  • elton john?

  • A club in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.

  • @exelsior3 Thought so. Thank ya! I live in Indiana and I just wanted to know if this was the same Ft. Wayne

  • does any one know where this video was filmed?

  • Saw his PBS video last night and he was awesome to say the least as well as gave a interview to support PBS. glad to see a great player with a humble attitude, nice change from other players that let it go to thier head after seeing some fame. can't wait to get some of his CD's, new favorite along with Derek Trucks, Doyle Brammhall II , Waren Haynes, Clapton, Page, Beck, Stevie Ray Vaughan, Hendrix

  • Can't wait to see him here in Portland Oregon on December 14,'02. Counting the days.

  • pure soul...JB is the man..Clapton no one has anything on him man..

  • My favorite Bonamassa performances were when those guys backed 'em up. Eric Czar on bass...and Kenny Kramme on drums. An online music bud turned me on to Joe a few years ago...this was the song...I was hooked!

  • quite simply.....a perfect performance.

  • A show in Romania, Cluj Napoca would be a dream come true! :)

  • This guy is the shit!!!!!!!!! I just found out about this guy!!!!!!! Where have i been?!New favorite guitar player!!

  • My all time favorite version of Bonamassa...hands down

  • un dieu du blues !

  • I LOVE this version of this song. IMHO it is an order of magnitude better than the original recorded version on A New Day Yesterday, and its raw energy blows away the mellow acoustic version on the Live From Nowhere in Particular release. I wish Joe would release this version at some point.

  • @exelsior3 I concur. The one on the album is a little too rigid sounding for any kinds of blues. This version is nothing shy of awesome.

  • it doest get any better than this blues!! How many sounds can he make ? I agree..Vocals are great also. Good things happining here for sure. Keep on Rockin!

  • This is blow your brain apart GREAT- this is the first time I have heard this artist, but I t isn't going to be the last- Note to You Tube Copyright Police- If not for this post I might not have heard him, and I WILL SPEND MONEY ON HIS WORK

  • best version of this song

  • the worst bonamassa hair ever!

  • this guy is priob.THE best blues/rock artist since SRV! JB gives me chills, just murders the guitar. i cant count how many times ive turned ppl into fans at bars..ect..by throwing a JB tune on the jukebox.-everyone is always like--who is that? dude sure can play the guitar lol. friends/family have all become fans now.a couple didnt even like blues.bottom line:this guy is def. awesome.

  • @Anthony4x4 OMG i was just sayong this to someone else on the message board, i absolutly 100% agree with this statement , i wish i could click thumbs up a thousand times for you, i am absolutly in love with stevie ray and im sad to say i just discovered this guy LAST NIGHT! and just in the way i accidently discovered stevie ray im sooo happy i found this guy easily my #2 top fav blues player of all times

  • @georgeman21222 yea,i have always been a hardcore Stevie Ray Vaughan fan as well.......and then i heard Joe. i learned about Joe from browsing blues artists here on youtube a couple of yrs ago. ever since then ive turned into just as huge of a fan of his music like i have of SRV's for so many yrs.blues deluxe was the first one i think i heard.this guy is something special.

  • Just like STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN, was the piece that complimented the talents of Led Zeppelin, this piece is Joe's piece, his classic display that shows what he can do. None are going to surpass this boy, he can both sing and play, and to be able to do both is a plus.He was so young here also. The people are about to worship the boy here in this dynamic awe inspiring bliss of the blues, seasoned with some rock, and had more people back then saw this display, he would had been on front page sooner.

  • Simply Amazing! I bust a nut every single time i hear this song! FUCKING GREAT!

  • That was classic, reminded me of an ol classic - Whipping Post by the original Allman Brothers - Duane RIP. or have you returned....

  • SRV Texas Flood live at Mocumbo. This is the re-incarnate of the Guitar.

    There IS a God.

  • Well someone here has a new favorite song...

  • Hey Guys, is that a Clapton Strat with lace sensors he is playing. Cheers.

  • @guitarsandme Yes, a '95 EC Strat. Sounds a lot better than his LP tones IMO.

  • I've been waiting a long time for someone who can do the following:

    1. Lay down rock, rock blues and blues tunes that will have you picking your jaw up off the floor. 2. Absolutely rip apart the fretboard by applying multilple techniques and blazing chops (this guy is NOT a one trick pony) from song to song and even within a song. 3. Have a voice that supports his guitar work AND can sing within the framework of multiple styles (rock, blues, rock blues etc..). JOE BONAMASSA is the REAL DEAL!!!

  • @genxxxersize too bad you didnt get a hold of Stevie Ray...To me he was and still is the best blues guitarist that I can think of..

    Peace

    Doc

  • @genxxxersize he is very reminisent of stevie ray ... whom i absolutly love ... i'm sad to admit i just found this guy last night on a tv special ..... but just as how i discovered stevie ray i am very pleased and happy i found this guy ... one of my new top favs

  • @genxxxersize you said it, perfectly. Incredible. I am blown away............and I LOVE IT.

  • @genxxxersize I expect you've been waiting since Stevie's copter went down on a ski slope.

  • @genxxxersize

I couldn't possibly have said it better!

I'm with you all the way!!

  • Absolutely amazing performance. Perhaps my favorite JB video on YouTube. Especially good vocals in this clip - he was definitely on that night. And of course the guitar work is without equal as usual. JB is the uber guitar god of the 21st century.

  • To me best not compare Joe to any one its just good that he is out there doing his best to make good music that we can lisen too .

  • I like Joe on a FENDER SO SO SO SO SO SO much better!! IMO

  • Why is there a dislike button? O.O

  • OMFG! The solo is the most amazing thing I've seen in my whole life!

  • I was at this show. It was 2001 I think. It was at Pierre's in Fort Wayne, IN. I had never heard of him, just happened to be playing the night I wanted to go to the bar so I thought what the hell, I'll pay. The show was cheap, but as you can see the music was amazing. I have been a huge fan ever since.

  • Joe is one of the best, like few around today.

Hendrix used to surprise me with sounds and ideas that were new.

    Bonamassa ideas don't surprise me.

Technically he's a monster but electric blues needs more creativity.

  • I really wish he would go back to playing Strats...I mean I love his LP tone as well but This stuff is just so killer!

  • he's pretty young here right? about 23 I think, makes it even more amazing. My favorite. Go see him live, he needs to be seen the individual cd's don't do him justice.

  • @saidama1 no is is 33

  • @ewaters70 He is around 34 now but was 23 when he did this one in Fort Wayne Ind about 2001 I think.

  • @saidama1 oh good call. guess I should have read closer...you said "23 here" sorry, my bad

  • I pity the fool

  • Like Texas Flood, all over again.

  • I hear some SRV in there.

  • Best version of this song by Joe, on a Clapton sig. strat ironically. I just think Joe sounds better on a strat. Every generation will spawn better players. right now there is a 9 year old kid learning these licks who will rise up and we'll behaving the "who is better" arguement all over again. Is Joe better than Clapton? Technically...yes. But I'll bet you a buck Joe sat in his room and learned licks from old Clapton records who learned from old Albert King records. Each generation gets better

  • @Uz2Brockstar Who got better than jimmy Page, Leslie West, Richie Blackmore or Rory Gallagher? In my humble opinion no one. You had different players and you'll have different players in the future. Yes, everyone gets influenced, but no one gets exactly like any other guitar player. All the good ones are unique, they're all one of a kind!

  • @eduf93 The greatest REAL Blues musicians are ones you've never heard of in your limited whitebread world. The Black man created Blues and white boys ripped it off but never did get it right. Idiots like you make most of the white race a total joke.

  • @iketurnerbitchtamer

You are one bitter bluezin' black dude. You don't own the blues my brother. And you especially don't have a patent on hard times. The Blues is part of all our American heritage. and these days in our beloved America, We the people all got it bad. You got one day my brother, Today! give it a chance.

  • @iketurnerbitchtamer I like some black guitar players like Robert Johnson, BB King or Hubert Sumlin and just because i haven't mentioned any you act like a dick...Maybe the joke in here is you. Oh and anyway..next time yoy answer to someone make sure you talk about the same subject...you know what?Ihave not mentioned "Blues" in my comment, so shut the fuck up you retarded racist! Idiots like you make most of the black race a total joke!

  • @eduf93

Cut the brother some slack. He's been around the block a time or two. He's seen some ugly stuff in the world. He's a bit bitter, but it ain't easy watchin' your brothers die in a war fought in vain. Been there myself. He doesn't make most of any race look stupid just because he rants. We gotta all know the blues in our lives be it from hard times or losing loved ones. Life is like that, and then ... So like Janis Joplin said, we have one day brother. Today, make it count.

  • @iketurnerbitchtamer obviously you didn't get a big enough dose of napalm in Vietnam racist POS

  • Love him with the Les Paul, but JB is down right righteous with a 'Strat in his hands!

  • fantastic blues right there.

  • back before the les paul switch

  • 3:19 - 5:30 best JB solo i've ever heard

  • :P - i just don't believe that. Ladies and Gentlemen NEVER tell....just sayin'...

  • what's with those stupid girls "dancing", as if bonamassa isn't enough to watch.

  • he makes my soul weep.....amazing guitarist!!!!

  • baby still I've been loving you yeeeahhh ....

  • Joe put the Log down n go back to Strats!

  • Joe B+ Strat + Marshall = Awesome!

  • 30 people didn't have their sound turned on...

  • this man has already securered his lagacey!

  • When he starts strumming at 4:56, that's not a low res failure that you're watching. That's reality distorting.

  • The mantle goes from the late great Garry moore to this dude love it a few more years on the voice yea man

  • so stevy

  • jakesblues . net

Ya gotta see him., hear him, be there.

    Absolutely the best.

  • Longtime JB fan. I have tried 10 times to write something substantial, but I can only say...just watch him. Watch all of the submissions, listen to the lyrics. You need to watch his instructional videos as well as his set-up posts to really appreciate how brilliant he is and what it takes to create the sounds you hear. He is not a plug & play guy. He is a creator...a blues mastermind that all of the late/great bluesmen would respect & honor. Thanks JB!

  • I must say those are some badass sunglasses

  • @jaredpistoia why are the lyrics stupid ?

  • Once again, as for me, JOE IS THE MAN. I do enjoy hearing other people play and sing the blues, and my youtube channel will attest to that, but after weighing them all in the balance , comparing them altogether, Joe is by far the best to me, and to thousands of others that agree. Joe just seems to have that different edge of blues runs that so many others have not been able to copy to the letter. His licks are so endless, but what really blows me away also, he seems to never miss a lick.

  • after this great performance from bonamassa,i just say...i´m so sorry SRV and Gary Moore are not with us anymore.

  • I LOVE THIS MAN! been a HUGE fan for years!! Have some signed CDs from some local concerts on Long Island!!

  • i love that tone

  • Hell yeah!

  • For jitana -- not trying to get you to shut up because I agree, he's damn good...but take a listen to SRV (Stevie Ray Vaughn) and you'll hear the originator of this sound. The style difference is JB focuses more on voice, SRV focused more on playing. The sound complexities of Stevie's guitar work will lay themselves down on your nerves and make you dance or cry or just carry you away...he gets in your blood. JB is good, no question, but SRV broke the ground.

  • nunca escuché algo tan profundamente hablado con una guitarra...

  • Just got tickets last night to see him in chicago! so excited

  • OMG, he is the best and I have heard a heck of a lot of blues singers and players. He has such feeling and grace when he sings and burns that guitar. She( the guitar) is his love and he can play her like no one else. Please keep it up. I never loved blues like this before. it brings tears to my eyes.He is the ultimate in his or any field of music.

  • Excellent love him;) roll on october goin to see him at the blackpool opra house can't wait !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • He has a Gary Moore thing goin' on too,Bless his soul!

  • @codehendrix Listen to Joe Bonamassa play and sing : THE THRILL IS GONE, and you will not want to hear anyone else play and sing it but him and him alone.

  • That mans a HONKEY.

  • I'm 45, Hendrix and SRV fan. Let me tell ya, he is one of the best if not the best today and just as gifted as Hendrix and SRV! John Mayer should BOW before J.B!

  • @gageboy14 It's because Jimmy Page patted Joe on the back when he was younger...

  • @gageboy14 Is it just the cool thing to do nowadays to needlessly and ignorently bash John Mayer on blues guitarist videos? I seriously doubt you have really listened to any of John's work with the Trio, or his work in general for that matter. I would send you some examples of his skill, but you have clearly already formed your opinion of him, so you wouldn't really listen anyway. I don't see Joe bashing the talent of his contemporaries, so why are you?

  • @gageboy14 Dude you have to see Philip Sayce too i bet you like his music

  • joe bonamassa > john mayer

    period!

  • @moses…Dude what's with you and this fixation with tattoo's ? Desecrating your body! What are you some fucking religious nut?

  • @TheF86Sabre Go to my channel and you will see an uploaded video I have about tattoos . You will then have a better grip on the tattoo issue from a biblical perspective.

  • @moseseseseses Dude the bible is good for two things, starting campfires and wiping asses!

  • Gary Moore (RIP) did it better but damn this guy is good

  • joe has the gift. can you feel it?

  • This sound hits you right to the core of anyone's soul, albeit man or woman... It just has that distinct sound that makes you want to grab a bottle and make love to your significant other for hours... lmao. Thanks for the upload !

Now I'm off with the girlfriend !

  • @jitana

    Search for Eric Johnson.

But "better" is a subjective thing, so who knows if you'll like it. I love Bonamassa too, though; nothing but thumbs up from me.

  • worst dancers in the world.. ever..lol

  • saw him in sydney few days ago..life is complete

  • wot about Robben Ford?

  • This man is awesome, no doubts there.

  • Without a shadow of a doubt, he's the best player in the world. I've determined that all the idiots who have clicked the dislike option are deaf, and simply dislike the fact they can't hear him. This man's sound gets into the blood and becomes the sweetest drug... you can't help but crave more. And I'll challenge those of you who aren't deaf and are clicking the dislike button... show us something better. Just ONE person who is better... and I'll concede and shut up.

  • @jiitana Kirk Fletcher is in my opinion at the same level , both great players no doubt

  • @jiitana totally agree with you... right now Joe is the best guitarist on earth

  • @jiitana Those that would ever click a dislike button concerning this master of the blues would be those who are JEALOUS. Jealousy is eating them up, because when they hear him play with all the endless lethal licks that he brings forth, they realize that Joe has probably forgotten more than what they will ever learn, and for those wanabees out there that hope for fame, after hearing Joe, they realize they are far from it, and may never attain what he already has. Joe is the boss of the blues

  • @moseseseseses It's just who he is. And those who don't get it now never will. Those are the ones I pity, for they know not what they are lacking.
