  • Un nouveau Rostropovitch ! super!

  • Delightful performance... I loved it ! Congratulations, you're very talented ! ^^

I've been studying violin for 10 years and started studying the cello 2 years ago.

I wish i can play it like you someday.

  • Oh my god, such clean playing!

  • I play my Cello the same way you do! My dad keeps telling me off about the angle of my Cello :( But it feels so much easier holding it up with one leg only and supporting it with the other.

You are now my Cello role-model! xD

  • Do u play on a 3/4 cello or on a 4/4?

    u're amazing, congratulations

  • You're amazing, Boris!!!!!!!!!!!! Just fantastic: I'm very very impressed!!!!!!

  • yeah.. he's amazing!

do u know where i can find orchestra's part? I mean notes :)

  • You can't. This piece was arranged for cello and orchestra by Mr. Silvio Cataliti, for me only. If you wish to use the orchestra part, you will have to contact him and ask for his permission.

  • Do u have any contact to him? Because I realy need this notes. They are for my best friend who is cello player and she is doing a diploma this year and she realy wanted to play that polonaise on a diploma concert with and orchestra but she doesn't have notes for orchestra ;/

I'm looking forward to hearing from you :)

  • Really great playing! Wonderful octaves at the end, and the part at 5:02 was just simply the best part of the whole piece.

One major gripe though: at 1:32, you really should hang on the high A's longer - those are dotted crotchets in the score.

Other than that, fantastic job! Balance was a bit off, but I can still hear you clearly, maybe in my head.

  • ok he's 13. you don't have to judge every little detail. as a performance, this was fantastic.

  • It doesn't matter his age...he is playing music and performing moderately difficult pieces so, like everyone else should take nit-picking comments

  • Bravo~~!!!

  • Bravo, I have a question. I have been finding that the cellists that play the way that you play (cello not in the middle of the chest...more on one leg and the cello is lower than it should be)are often extremely good and really musical. Why is that, your an exceptional cellist, but the position is weird.

Also I find it funny that the orchestra behind you is full of musicians who are a lot older than you.

  • I cannot tell why, but I have also noticed that each and every cellist has it's own posture, very often not the right one, described in the books. May it is strongly individual.

  • I agree! :) I love your playing and am slightly jealous of you, but mostly impressed lol. I started cello when I was 10 and kind of wish I started earlier. When did you start?

  • You are great!!!!!!!!!!

  • Hey! Boris I wanner see your play for bach' 6cello suite..Your are great!

  • Congratulations friend! Can you also upload your performance of Weber's Rondo at Lubomir Pipkov Competition's final concert in 2004?

  • No, it was recorded with an analogue camera, it is not possible to convert it into an uploadable format.

  • I love playing this piece. I've never heard it with orchestra before though so thankyou, great performance.

  • A very good performce. His is only 13. But his sound was like a adult: very deep and good sound. Well done.

    The running are O.K

  • Brill!
