  • You need to tighten the Shrouds (The lighter you both are, the tighter the shrouds), tighten the Forestay and pull on more Vang and Downhaul. Tighten your battens up too (If your sail allows you too). All this will depower the rig, and make the boat easier to sail. Set your sails properly, get your crew out on the wire and then head up and bear away accordingly. When you get a gust, bear away to keep the boat flat, and head up as it passes. You both need to communicate while you're sailing too.

  • i'm not sure whats so funny, the performance in this video is horrible mate ;)

  • it was our first time sailing it

  • lol.

  • more vang and Cunningham the leach is far to open for the amount wind there is, also get out on the wire fast and keep your body weight together, another this you can do if you are still over powered is move the shrouds down to about the 5th hole on the back shroud plating and the lower shouds down to about the 6th this will give more mast rake and therefor spill some of the wind............although it doesn't look like you should be sailing this kind of boat yet...... sorry

  • learn to sail, its an insult to other sailors to post this vid, the RS 500 is a good boat so learn to sail it properly

  • Your rig tension is wrong, keep it flat, you should have popped out the kite, work on your fore and aft trim, keep your hand off the trapeze handle, get out on the wire faster

  • sake ryan can't you keep the camera stil !
