Just bought this film-whoa, initially I thought the acting stiff and a bit contrived. The production and combat footage are amazing...harrowing and traumatic and very convincing. The ending is well one of the best of any film in the last 10 years.
of course this is a movie but they should have paid a bit of atttention to detail. Pause at 0:26 and you'd see "Oxford Coaching Institute" painted on the wall in Hindi :). They shot it in India! So much for making it look real!
I thought this was an EXCELLENT film, and one of my favorites of the last decade. Im a big fan of "faux documentaries" like Blair Witch and Cloverfield, and this was underrated and very well done and realistic.
I was so pissed when i realized this was scripted, it looked so real to me. Anyways, these guys were brave to go to Afghanistan to film, especially in a time where it's amazingly dangerous to do so.

The firefight in the garden when the bounty hunters are ambushed and Larson fights his way out and the shootout in the cave are two of the most harrowingly filmed shootouts ever.
I watched this film believing that it was truly a documentary which made the firefights that much more real.
fake..watch at 0.26 Advertisement mentioned on the wall in HINDI language .@0.29 sec look at people on the street...they are not afraid....

Yes it is a fictional film, but intentionally filmed as if done as a "documentary". I think its one of the best of it's kind.

Yes it was clearly scripted, i kinda knew that before even watching it. And no offense, but you should have as well....
But it was a good film none the less. The closest thing to the real story and what happened over there....
If you wanna know what it was like, and some places still like....look no further than this film

I actually did some research on this movie and yes a small film team traveled to Afghanistan to shoot a movie/documentary on terrorists and Bin Laden.
Upon completion of the original movie, they met real bounty hunters in search of bin Laden and offered to take them along.
Some of the gunfire you see is real.
Others, not.
A great movie in my opinion, and it took great courage to venture into that country so soon after the WTC incidents.

I seen 9/11 happen I was one of the people running.
I also went to this area in 2004 to asses the ongoing conflict.
A few people in my group got taken hostage.
