  • 2:07 hooooolllly shiiiiiiiiit

  • I will do it too! I need to practise more but in few years i will be able to do that with this power :D

  • miljkovic the best!!!

  • If only my serves were as good as those, if only.

  • Really? Please show us statistics of average volleybal jump serve speed in olympic, maybe you don't have to show it to us if ypu're going to embarass yourself. It doesn't matter how you throw it as long as it is the best toss for your approach. However for most people, the best toss is by using the hitting arm. That bad throw and horrific arm swing can deliver a 75 mph jump serve - he's Yuval Katz btw.

  • @Kr1stoffer2k Considering Clayton Stanley's fastest serves are 120km/h = 75mph, 80mph jump serves that go in are exceedingly rare.

  • @Kr1stoffer2k you.just.got.raped

  • @Kr1stoffer2k I believe the correct response to your retarded comment is: shut the fuck up.

  • @Kr1stoffer2k you are an ass dude

  • @Kr1stoffer2k Do you know who Phil Dalhausser is? Watch how he serves.

  • this player throws with right hand and seve with left. bad example?

  • @sirjoakim : He's Yuval Katz and can unleash a 75 mph serve. You can use right, left or both hands when tossing the ball as long as the toss is always consistent. However, for most people it is easier to controll it with the dominant hand

  • @ScoopShot2008 יובל קץ?? אתה ישראלי אחי??

  • @Jonyskylark לא קשור באמת אבל מעט. למה?

  • We played volley ball for the first time today.. hit it up and it hit the roof and we got a score XD

  • @twisterfield651 ... that is an out.. lol

  • since i have a 42 inch leap i toss it about 4 feet into the court, but like most all college players i miss about 50% of the time :)

  • i dont even play volleyball but cool

  • I thought you said the ball should land on the line untouched. from what i just say, it depends., because it looked it depended on the player.

  • You're right and you can also toss the ball inside the court as long as you can jump forward to meet the ball.

  • serve at 2:10 looked sick!

  • If you're right-handed step forward with your right foot as the picture shows a left-handed person do it ;-)

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, you can do it with one step just move your right foot forward then the left foot a bit in front of the right foot and jump...

  • i only serve floaters and quite gd at it. tried jumpserves but i just can;t get it across the net, hopefully tis helps.

  • jeeze you know it must be a SICK serve when sergio passes less than a 3 ball.

  • who is that number 14 guys from the blue team?

he is good at jump serve.

  • ivan miljkovic - serbia

  • great tips thx! =D

  • I hate floaters...

  • once on my beach volleybal match, I was jumping top spin ball...i want to hit line, cause there were bad passing blok..i toss the ball in the air and i hit refferer in his face...it was quite funny :D

  • Yeah, I had similar experience. We were down by 10+ points and I was so frustrated. Just toss the ball up high and whacked it. However I badly mistime my approach, ended up hitting the referee stand and dislocated my shoulder.

  • im in high school and jump service is rare myself and another on my team are the only successful jump servers in our league. my friend puts side spin on his similar to a curveball. mine just has straight top spin. but i agree i find floaters are much harder to give a good pass to the setter

  • in highschool, jumpserves are easier to pass than floaters but in the olympics is a different story

  • im in middle school and my coach says im just like matt anderson i go to the same school he went and is coached by the same coach jump serves are easy

  • I'm in middle school.. and damm... Jump serves are so hard. XD

  • @ rastadragon711 LMAO!!! That is way to technical!!! Seriously, your not going to measure how much humidity is in the air? What the temperature is like in the gym?? Let alone the air flow/ current that circulates around the gym??? LMAO!!! You must be one of those " Know it all, but got no game on the court players?" Way over your head??

  • So freaking amazing :o

I jump serve too, but not this awesome!!!

  • pogstick.... didn't know gyms had air currents???

  • @BIGKANT - Yeah, if the gym is a decent size, there are definitely air currents. If it's a huge gym/stadium like the ones that world league plays in, then the potential for air currents is even greater. just fyi =)

  • No such thing as a hybrid serve. You can have a really high toss for a float serve and put more energy into the ball but other then that if it knuckles it's a float. If it spins it's a spike serve. Float serves can drop like a spike serve if you put the nozzle at the bottom of the ball but it also depends on the air current in the gym.

  • work on your verticals, im 5'6 and i can spike really decent and i pound the ball... but that wrist snapping is good 2 when u spike it but with no jumping (is really necessary to know this when you play woth ppl that suck xD )....

  • yup... snapping wrist upon the hit is a must every single time.... unless it's till then when you can literally just pound the ball straight down.

  • The varsity at my high school do better serves than these guys lol

  • i would bet anything that they dont.. these guys are olympians... they would bruise your varsity guys forearms if they could even touch them.. or simply knock the wind out of them.. guarantee it..

  • I used it all the time when hitting over the blocks and place the ball into the corner. If you do it right, you can see the ball clearly spinning down.

  • you should always snap when spiking or rolling a ball.... the finish is practically the only thing that changes depending on height.. dude im 5 9 and I jump 42 inches high and i hit just as hard and smarter than taller guys, you have to want it. work on your vertical, if you want some vertical jumping tips pm me or something ill give you what I use

  • cool

  • hitting a ball with side spin is easy. i learned how to do it my first year in volleyball and i am 14. you dont have to hit it and add side spin, just throw it up with side spin and hit. its easy thats what Dan O'Dell does. i love it :D

  • I've never tried that because the most important thing for me is my consistent toss. If I want to add a bit of sie spin, normally I just hit the ball at 11 o'clock or 1 o'clock instead of of right in the middle.

  • yeah i understand what your saying. im not allowed to do it in matches because of the way the toss turns out.

  • I've curved jump serves and had them drop in front of the 10' with a fair amount of force quite a few times.

Too bad it's never intentional. :/

  • I want to learn the jump serve with the side spin. And the other pros that can put top spin and floater at the same time. Amazing.

  • top spin and floater at the same time? =impossible...

jump serve with the side spin on purpose (side-hitting the ball) will decrease the speed significantly.

  • uh i've seen top spin and floater at the same time

    haha. its been done.

  • that's impossible... tsk tsk...

how floater works are from the air inside the ball going to two or more different directions at the same time... hense making a top spin impossible while floating...

*because top spin ONLY chooses one direction... spinning counter clockwise towards the court...

  • haha bro. i know wat ur saying

but trust me. i've seen it.

and although wat u said makes sense, the important thing that they said was the toss. its spin help the ball to "appear" spinning. so i guess its how u put it. if thats a top spin or not. =]

  • I think what you're referring to is a slow spin serve which sometimes has the floating effect.

  • PKSK how the fuck does a ball be a floater and a topspinner?

topspinners have spin while floaters have NO spin

  • its called a hybrid serve man.

    calm the hell down.

  • its true hybrid's are done all the time.. just watch sweitzer from penn state

  • wongsta= fail

  • k genius.. its very possible and its called a hybrid.. look it up before you try to sound smart again.. its a mix of the two serves

  • lmao... dumbass.... like said.. it's impossible... show me proof.... ;enuff said kid.

    it's something called common sense..

the hybrid you are talking about... lmao... kid's first created term for v-ball? XD

  • like i fuckin said there is a guy from penn state that does it very well.. look it up im not wasting anymore time on you.. A hybrid serve is a fucking volleyball serve that consists of both float and top spin characteristics.. fuckin retard..

  • lol.... hybrid... ahaha....

    what a stupid ass...

trust me.... there's no possible way for it to happen.... give me the 'keywords' or the link, smart ass....

  • i know its real you look it up if you dont believe it..

  • i don't see how it can ever be possible.. just give me the keywords or the link... XD

  • you dont have to see. its the truth. I know its a serve. look it up if you dont believe me. keyword: hybrid serve... fucking retard..

  • lmao.. how stupid is that... no video?

that's like me saying I saw superman... lmao...

it's just a stupid jump float serve with a spinned toss... how dumb are you?... call that a hybrid? lmao...

how is that even close to being called a hybrid? it doesn't even float and spin at the SAME time throughout.... tsk tsk... one over rides the other....

    dumbass...

  • Try this forum as they'd discussed about this hybrid serve. I've done it once or twice accidently because my top spin toss was too far inside the court and just trying to get the ball in, so just hit it like a hard floater.

  • that doesn't even make sense, for a serve to float it can't have spin, and for a serve to have top spin means it can't float....tossing for a jump serve and then contacting the ball as a floater is considered a float serve, not a magical hybrid serve, it has no characteristics of a top spin serve just the same toss. so calm yourself and quit talking trash all over youtube, i've seen your postings everywhere and they are all equally as disrespectful

  • this is my point.. people are retarded.. thats why its not a float serve.. and thats why its not a jump serve... its a hybrid serve.. look it up if you dont believe me, but I know it's a serve type, so if you have an issue with not believing it then see for yourself.. otherwise shut your mouth..

  • I've got a strange technique then. I use my opposite hand to throw the ball when I do jump serves and the same with normal serves.

  • as long as it works for you... the main reason for me to throw with my hittng hand is because I've better control of the toss with my dominant hand. Meaning I can 'set' the ball up better with my dominant hand. It also helps that my go to shot in basketball is finger roll or scoop shot. Try practicing tossing the volleyball into the basket at an approriate spot for your jump serve approach.

  • Thank you for the tips. I will keep this in mind ;)

  • Guess that makes u an ambidextrous ^^

  • wow!!very useful information thx cuz i really want to jump serve or i want to learn it so thank you so much!!!!!

  • that helped cuz i didn't know how far 2 throw the ball or wat hand to throw w/

  • It depends on the style of play ur used to. Me, I throw it a little higher to add a little "arm" force and also I had rather a quite slow approach. hehe. At least, it works for me. haha

  • Nice vid... Ivan Miljkovic ;oD

  • thanx bro i can actually jump serve now!! thanks so much now i get so many aces in a game =)

  • they get some much fucking air, they can just smack that thing down.

  • wow that's awesome

  • Excellent!!!

  • very very nice video

  • Nice steps... sick serves.. = KICK ASZ!
