Esme, there are 2 ways I've heard this pronounced, by 2 people with this name fyi. Es (like geese without the g)-my or Es-may.. one or the other works, guess we wait for the movie to see how Meyers wanted it pronounced.

i had trouble with names and sill do haha! But she chose the names depending on when they were born so thats why the Volturi has names like Athenodora you know, she can't choose a name like Amanda or something for someone born 500 B.C. And Laurent is a french name because he is french cuz Bella mentioned in the first book how he had an accent, so thats why people say i that way...your suppose to say it without the t at the end cuz its silent, but in english its the way everyone else says it..
