The "protester" was perhaps making a point to the City of Rockford. The mill owner was told by the city to remove his offensive picture of Jesus as it is a violation of a specific city ordinance. He continued to violate that code for over a month with no action. He also constantly violates noise ordinances with his loud speaker without action from the police. The "protester" was perhaps tired of watching the double standard of the city of Rockford and their police force.
Do you have a copy of said "letter" to the owner of the building that states this? How do you know that they were asked to take it down by Rockford police? Is this hearsay?

I left that city at age 19 by joining the military. 4 Years later I settled down in Seattle Got My Undergraduates in Math 6years later. 4 Years later My Masters in Applied Math. Now I am working on my PHD. I could have never gotten where I am today in Rockford Illinois. The night Detective Rice was killed, I got pulled over and treated like I killed the President. She's also that much closer to Him than we are. Why wouldn't I ask her to pray for me, or to intercede on my behalf? You don't say "Hail" to someone who isn't royalty. St. Gabriel knows that. He knows she's special. That is why he greeted her thus. And wouldn't Jesus listen to what His mother asks of Him?

hanna, we feel called to be at this awful place and we have seen a direct correlation between a decrease in the number of abortions (and increase in saves) and the number of people on the sidewalk praying. Imagine how a woman must feel justified in the idea that abortion is okay if no one is there to tell her differently. Now imagine that as she arrives to end the life of her infant there are 20 or 50 people standing in prayer. Often this is enough to encourage her to do the right thing.

These people do not understand who Jesus is. This is a spiritual battle. The Bible says we do not fight against flesh and blood but against evil spirits. Only prayer can help this. True prayer is not praying rosary but praying to the Father in Jesus name for specific individuals. If we win, we will win on our knees in our prayer closets at home, not making a display of ourselves to those who are spiritually lost. Jesus said to pray in secret. the Rosary is the weapon the Mother of God has asked of her children, if Our Lord loves and obeys Her then we would be foolish not to. God did not stop leading His children after the New Testament but continues thru the ages------the Woman who will crush the serpents head. After the Mass, the Rosary is the most effective prayer especially said in the community, the chain which will bind the dragon. Praise be the Two Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Pray at all times.

can't we keep all close to our hearts-must we choose?God did not stop trying to reach His hard-headed children and again thru Mary, just as in the first Advent ,She is preparing the way for Him. She is the Virgin of pity, holding back the justice of God, She IS the Mother of Mercy and our Advocate. If you were a mother ,you would know the power of persistance from a child-----by the rosary , the name of Jesus is said many times with love-how can that be harmful... will be known by its fruits.

The "protester" was perhaps making a point to the City of Rockford. The mill owner was told by the city to remove his offensive picture of Jesus as it is a violation of a specific city ordinance. He continued to violate that code for over a month with no action. He also constantly violates noise ordinances with his loud speaker without action from the police. The "protester" was perhaps tired of watching the double standard of the city of Rockford and their police force.

I am an Atheist and I will fight for ANY of your rights to speak your word, just like I fight for all rights. That said, if your rights actually get violated, go to the ACLU and they will fight for you also. The protester was told twice to deal with the sign, he didn't so the cop took action. As with most christians you always need an enemy, just so you have a US Vs Them mentality to your "flock". If you really want to solve the abortion issue, then you need to pay for babies.

You could say the exact same thing on the flip side about a regular picture of jesus just because of what he represents to some people. Matter of language: People are arrested, property is confiscated. Christ was arrested by the Romans. His image was confiscated by the Rockford Police. As to why the awful image of Christ was allowed to be displayed? Perhaps because it was on private property? Agreed, City of Rockford has some explaining to do.

Procreation isn't always practical, and people like these protestors just add trauma to a day that's undoubtedly already difficult and personal. Imagine that woman did change her mind, and the child was consequently raised in care, never feeling truly loved or wanted.

The right to life is an enalienable right, given to us by our creator. The unborn are typically thought of as 'precious cargo', to be protected and given the most ulitmate care. Expectant mothers also. That's why the murder of a pregnant women is counted as a double murder. Who knows which unborn child will be the next great leader or humanitarian? Abortion promices to throw the next great poet, artist or scientist, dismembered into a garbage pail.

All he had to do was pick up the sign. Its a safety hazard to have it leaning on/ blocking a road sign. Also you can not arrest a picture, it was removed because someone was too stubborn to pick it up after being requested twice to remove it. Stop crying over it, he was wrong, the police enforced the law and its over.

Also, the picture was leaning against a stool - the police didn't bother to take the stool - they just took the picture of Jesus.
Also, the same police officer who "arrested" the picture of Jesus a week before said the vulgur pictures the killing center put up are not offensive.

The police didn't arrest an image of Jesus they confiscated it arresting the carry-ing of the sign. If the police said tend the sign then do so. Why don't you edit your video to make it more accurate? I think it speaks volumes that city alderman have no "want-to" but the murder clinic whispers and gets action. Is this in Ilinois? Near Chicago? Figures. These aren't CINOs but some priests and bishops are and nominal at that. That is a problem with the Catholic Church in America.

Look at the people quietly praying on the sidewalk. Not quite the threatening "protesters" that they are painted as. The women are offered help and often (3 or 4 times a month at this mill) women accept help and choose life for their child. They are always grateful to find support in these dark hours.

Maybe you should look into the history of the document and people who wrote it before you regurgitate something and claim it as "fact".
