@sclb45 lol, doing this when you're high reduces your chances of survival by at least 90%. in other words, this might be the last time you've been high.
Does anyone know where that jump is starting at 3:00? That run looks quite challenging and risky flying through the gorges and splits in the mountains. No losing altitude and barrel rolls there I guess.
i think this is the most amazing kind of parachuting but you have to be skilled to do this..it´s still very dangerous when you lose control about your suit ...
Some of the most beautiful landscape Ive ever seen. Looks like a blast. I didnt know you could travel so far while skydiving. I guess I thought of it as more or less straight down. Amazing
true dat, this is definitely flying not falling....i've been told the newer generation of wingsuits are up to a 5-1 glide ratio. this sport looks stupid fun.....
first learn to skydive from an aircraft...with an instructor...lots of places will start you out with a tandem type rig. Do that, you work your way up to wingsuit basejumping you don't start with it.
As an old hangglider, I wonder if you could actually ridge soar a wingsuit if a gale were blowing up the faces of those cliffs? Has anybody heard of that or ever tried it? I suppose landing the chute in a gale would be tough, though.
Do you have to qualify to be able to use a wingsuit? What qualifications do you need and what do I need to do to get them. I was an Army paratrooper and the only reason I'm getting into skydiving is to fly wingsuits. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. Awesome vid by the way. Insane!!

its comparable to skydiving, but even more dangerous, since you're grazing the cliffs. In contrast skydiving is a plunge straight down

Wingsuit, not straight skydiving. I think you get about 3 foot of horizontal movement to every foot of descent. Very cool :)

Stevo did not die in that fog, he lost stability flying a wingsuit while tryign to maintain a sharp turn and he then impacted the side of the gorge.

djbarryiii 4 years ago
you land with a chute so any strong winds= death
nathan043 3 years ago
Not its not death necessarily.
its not a good idea, certainly in base where you dont have a reserve.
But a very skilled canopy pilot could land in high winds uninjured.
It just wouldnt be much fun!

Robert Pecnic Is a wingsuit Pioneer He designs and jumps them He makes the phoenix Suits hes not your regular wingsuit pilot or low time basejumper.
penguin00steve 4 years ago
Absolutely amazing.
I haven't done any base jumps myself and probably never will but I do fly the wingsuit and seeing the speed and proximity just blows me away.
To Boomdawg81, here in Québec, Canada you can get start flying the wingsuit (skydiving, not base) with coaching after 200 regular skydives.

Oh man crazy and awesome 5 stars!
the best wingsuit vid i ever seen!
you guys play in death
tell me why its needed to have at least 500 normal jumps before i can jump in wingsuit ?
pls respond
pawlacz7 4 years ago
pawlacz7...because if you dont have at least 500 base jumps and 100 skydiving wingsuit flights... you will amost certainly die trying to emulate this!
In fact....I think it would take many more jumps + much talent to get this good
and1c 4 years ago 2
fore sure =D remember the man who is flying is one of the best in the world =D
It would take some years too learn this, but it would be fun XD

it certainly is.
Flying a wingsuit as skillfully as that, and on the edge of life or death a lot of the time....is plain awesome (as in if you mess up...you die!)

This is the best of the wingsuit vids, imo.
