@nutritionjuice23 u are a retard, your acting like Jordan was bottle fed since he came to tha league. His first 2 seasons he had a shit team yet he made the playoffs both years unlike Ewing, nd for about 5 years he had to lead his team, a young pippen, grant came into the picture, nd Cartwright too. Plus he had to mature wit them at the same time. Eventually Jordan and his team were able to reach their goal unlike Ewing. Jordan was just a better player and leader then Ewing. End of story
umm he went to the finals in 94 and 99, this is retarded. the movie coulda been SOOOOOOOOOOO much better had they revisited this shit 10 years later man.
TERRIBLE...
his story is one of the most bittersweet in the history of the freakin game, guy was so damn loyal to the knicks, and stood for us for like a decade and a half man.
i hate these docs that spend like fuckin 30 mins on college plus few first seasons then just skip half the career
It's so sad Patrick Ewing didn't have much help around him like M.J did during his whole career, that was really the difference. I was hoping for Dominique Wilkins to join the N.Y Knicks during the 93-94 season when he left the Atlanta Hawks that season. Ewing definitely would've had more help around him and perhaps his best chance to get a championship ring. I Always wondered how the N.Y Knicks might have done against the Phoenix Suns or the Utah Jazz in the NBA Finals during the 90's.
92-93 season really hurts. They shouldve beaten the Bulls. The Bulls just were not that good this particular season. The Knicks choked a 2-0 lead away.
right im from ireland and i only started watchin nba last year and i like the knicks the most but it seems like theres a curse on them or somethin now my knowledge is only from youtube but the only time they seem to be half-decent is when they had ewing???
@Imsohighrightnow2 .... Ewing was a truely amazing player. He is the probably the most unlucky player i witnessed play. Shouldve won the championship in 94 against the rockets, i think they were the best team that yr. Very, very unlucky. Carried his team more than any of the other superstars in his era.
i was madd pat he divorced his wife of all those yrs. she was active voice with wives of the league. they had sum sort of group..juanita ewing..funny mike jordan did same thing. these women were there thru all us and downs all the women they cheated with, have kids together an all... these groupie bitches destroying families.. love u still pat. best center ever.
playing at the same time as hakeem and alojuwon was not ewings misfortune but rather the fact that they had better teams and better support around them. Micheal Jordan is the only nba player in history that can win games all on his own.. In my eyes PAT Ewing is a hall of famer and i would give him a championship ring for every time he played a game.
For one hakeem and olajuwon is the same person. Number 2. Jordan had plenty of help he didn't win all those rings by himself. It takes a team to win ball games not 1 individual person. Jordan had Pippen, Grant, Paxson, Cartwright, and BJ Armstrong his first three. And he had Pippen, Rodman, Ron Harper, Kukoc, Longley, his last three so he had plenty of help. Ewing also had great support. John Starks, Anthony Mason, Charles Oakley, Xavier McDaniels, Derick Harper, Charles Smith, Mark Jackson.
Ewing is a Hall of Fame center and (in my opinion) one of the ten greatest centers of all time. He just had the misfortune of playing at the same time as Jordan and Hakeem.

one of the greatest players to never win a championship. Other notables: Barkley, Stockton, Miller, Malone and possibly Leborn.

2:26...Jordan is like The Grinch That Stole Christmas in all these videos. He stops everybody else's little documentary from having a happy ending.
