  • My Dad took pride in being raised in Harlem, but he spend the last 26 years of his life on island of Maui. So he is eh wonderful part of Black history in Hawaii !

In my eye's he is eh 'GREEN GOD' (trying something new as a way of life), He had 'Solar Energy' before most could spell it, back in 1982. He and his wife Sarah (from England) made wheat grass juice for 'Mana Foods' store, back in 1986 ! When I was a young girl he plant tree's on the city steets in Oakland, WE must plant tree's !

  • @raycist1970, Well I should be the one asking you that question? Why I mean you go around harrassing people just because of their ethnicity, skin color, because of what's on the surface. Doing that is a criminal offense called a hate crime, discrimination, or harrassment. You want to go around and say African/African Americans, Latinos, and Asians are the criminals?

No that would be you since you proved yourself as one.

  • @raycist1970, You want to talk about you having a life? You go on every video that has an African/African American person and you just complain and whine. Especially you making racist comments.

The only person that should be ashamed is you why? You just since in your trailer on the computer and make racist comments. You got kicked out of school and kicked out of your job due to your racist mentality. In plain and simple english you're being a loser. That shame is on you

  • @raycist1970 Oh, Oh! Pick me, I know!! How about this to celebrate :The fact that in spite of people like YOU we are STILL successful! Oh, here's an even deeper one! The fact that if it was not for a black person, there would be no other "races" in the world. Do your homework. All "races" stem from the DNA of an African woman. So in a way, your white ass was able to come to the world through the vagina of an African woman. :D

  • Aloha,

There's a lot more to 'Black history' then ' American Slavery ' and pain, so if you got love for my people, you need to learn more, so you do not sound so weak and DUMB !

We got a lot to be Happy about ! 'To be young gifted and BLACK' ! , happen way before America was even born !

Sing the song Nina Simone told me, she wrote wrote with ? guess ? Do the math.

    Bless !

  • @Flash13FLy - PLEASE!!! The Greeks, The Spartans, The Samurai, The Scotts.....All fought til the end! The Blacks and Hawaiians are the only ones who surrendered and gave up. And now they cry about it......PLEASE!!! All black people do is use slavery as their scapegoat to not work hard, to not show up to work on time and to be ignorant, loud, rude and disruptive......PLEASE!

  • Get over black history month. Black people are the only ones who still cry about shit that happened a long time ago. Get over it!!!

  • @seashepherdmma you get over yourself.!....black and indiginous peoples still suffer the atrocities that were caused to our forebearers by WHITE people. how are are we supposed to get over it just like that????. obviously you would not know a thing, because all you are is just an ignorant white guy who doesnt know what this feels like. so i suggest you go and poke your nose some where else.

  • @Flash13FLy black and indiginous people? what does that mean? since when where blacks indiginous to America or hawaii? I am an indiginous person , i am a white native European that lives in Europe, my people have lived here for thousands of years, if anyone is an indiginous person i am.

  • @barryflintoff1 Blacks as in the Africans of Africa..and indiginous as the native.....I didnt say the blacks were indiginous to america, im talking bout the White forebearers who caused alot of suffering to them( slavery, taking them from their homelands, treating them no one should ever be treated) and yeah, ur indiginous, in your country where your ancestors are from , but i aint talking about your country am i ,

  • @barryflintoff1 Blacks were the first in america and hawaii so that would mean blacks are native the real native because we were there first. Now white native american i have never heard of that dont see how its possible when blacks have been in america for at least 75,000 years the red indians for some 10,000 years whites were not on the planet then

  • @meandwot Uh, bro, last time i checked the first people in Hawaii were Polynesians...

  • @JazzAreCool Polynesians are black people mixed with asians the mixing happened in the late 1800s so what you have are black people then the mixed people. Theres a video in the side link which has the hawaii kings and queens.

  • For 2010

I honor Richard Pryor who had a home on Maui (Hawaii ) in a place we call HANU !

    Leah Tunkara

  • Hey man, I didn't watch the whole thing but when Omar made that comment, that was deep. Key to Long Life - Adapt to change, impossible, but you can make it possible if you try

  • Wow... That's my son singing 'World Peace Before 2021.' We were there cheering him on.. But I didn't take any videos. Now I have one! Thanks. JILL, Axil's MOM.

  • Dr. M.L. King belived in the value of all people and thier outlook on life; therefore I

  • Too bad you did not start the video with Angela Smith, The President of the African American Heritage Foundation of Maui who actually put this event and raised the awareness, visibility and moved this march to the streets. Looks like a gross oversight and since you know Mrs. Angela Smith ....intentional. Sundance

  • Please let it be known that the info in Leah's video of the 2008 MLKing Jr. Day March and Festivities was organized and 99.9% funded by the African American Heritage Foundation of Maui. I found it disquieting to have Ayin Adams speaking as if she was a spokesman for the organization.

She is not connected with the African American Heritage Foundation of Maui in anyway, by her own choice. She had no financial part in the ability to march in the streets this year or in making it happen.

  • Yeah! I've already started celebrating Black History Month.

  • Right on....although I was living in kihei on this date.....I was not aware of the festivities, probably sleeping, early morning shift.............BIG UP POPOLO PEOPLES!!!keep on livin, wish I could be there
