  • Sure it takes courage to have peace. But it takes a hell of a lot more courage to stand up for the oppressed. Try supporting our troops instead of being an ass and highlighting their deaths and funerals. At least they died trying to save people from oppression...which I'm certain is a hell of a lot more then you've done.

  • No, YOU still don't get it. Iraq is under insurgency, and the people are being freed BY brave US and Iraqi troops who are trying to help a country which has been brutalized by Arabs and tyrants for over 50 years, since its founding. When arrogant pups like you bash our troops and President, YOU KILL MORE IRAQIs and Americans. I saw this same thing happen during Vietnam, which my generation fought. Idiots among my generation apparently had kids like you.

  • Erm... Vietnam was an invasion by US for reasons unjustified. The "attack" on US vessel that supposedly started it never happened.

  • maybe if those iraqi's were smart they would leave maybe if they were not dipshits they would not get in the way 100 of them die a day? oh no! to bad were over there trying to save them im not saying i support this thing or bush (i hate bush) but don't fucking make a video like this you non American!

  • There is something strange that the poster uses a Catholic prayer to memorialize the deaths of muslims.

  • Your video is fact,to the point truthful, for a music version i have done please, visit my site/chazz

  • We, as a country, should be ashamed of ourselves for allowing this incompetent murderer to still be president of our country. His family and his oil partners are rich because of the sacrifices of our poor and middle class citizens. I am ashamed of him!

  • you don't get it. This "war" started to take form by the last admin and it's congress was over months after it started. We didn't have to be there after we eliminated the threat, but humanitarians would have bitched if we left the country in shambles as well and it wouldn't be responsible of the country. You're blindly blaming Bush for the whole issue. Look it up. I am ashamed of the people who live in my country not just the actions of my country.

  • Wow, the gross incompetence of the posters to this video is breath taking. Most of the violence in Iraq is NOT caused by the US Military, but the Insurgents trying to impose a MINORITY lifestyle on the MAJORITY of Iraqis. Pull you head out and read something other than the Daily Kos or whatever blog your looking at!!!!

  • four more years?

  • funny I didn't see anyone getting shot or stabbed or murdered in this video and yet they're trying to use it prove their is a civil war in Iraq. There might be one but if ur gonna try and prove it don't just use shot of people crying that proves nothing, use shots of people getting killed. That would be much more substantial.

  • WE THE AMERICAN PEOPLE are no longer steering the good ship lollipop. King George is (in all of his insanity) Pray to GOD that the following does not happen...

    NATIONAL SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE/NSPD 51

    HOMELAND SECURITY PRESIDENTIAL DIRECTIVE/HSPD-20

    Subject: National Continuity Policy

whereby Bush would remain in power should a real or imagined disaster occur and take control of ALL The branches of governmnet. google it it's dated 5/9/07.

  • those not living in a fantasy world, know the truth. Don't worry. ;) Bush is a big dumb shit, and we all know it.

  • I really have faith on U.S. CITIZENS that they realize about their president's stupidity.

  • Damn so sad these people in Iraq may God protect them and give them stronger hearts with all of that pain so sad. Amen

  • omg is america in a civil war?

  • The face of a person who is crying and grieving looks the same be it Iraqi or American... So sad

  • actually I kind of agree with vis. You people put these little videos together that are designed to play on emotions but they seriously lack proportion.

  • octousan, As far as them playing on emotion that is true, but I would venture to guess that anyone would be hard pressed to find happy footage and photos. You could place that music over any news cast and get the same effect. It's just a sad reality. So what is disproportioned?

  • Yes. You are sadly and deliberately misinformed cobal. You pick and choose what you want to believe. You have nothing new to add. You simply attack and imagine that makes you seem intellectual. It doesn't. It simply shows that you are some emotional girl who "feels" that we all should be kewl and help everybody else regardless of whether they are deserving. You need to grow up and learn more about what you speak. You are simply sad.

  • visitor4400, Thanks for proving my point by producing yet another pointless comment that had nothing to do with the conversation. Attacks are meaningless and despite me asking repeatedly; you still have yet to produce a single thing I was misinformed about. Even though my "misinformation" was why you took offense. So with that said there is really nothing left to discuss. Take care of yourself.

  • vistor4400, We just had a President of the United States attempt to alter the constitution to take rights *Away* from people. Habeas Corpus R.I.P (1215 -- 2006). Civil Liberties disappearing under the cloak of security. Our media is run with an iron fist, Fox is living proof of that. Yet we are preaching democracy. Right now we are about as hypocritical as a Cracked out Prostitute trying to teach a class about the wonderful life of abstinence and drug free living.

  • You truly do not know the Constitution. You need to read more and not crap like the socialist stuff without facts that are currently clouding your mind.

We do not or ever had a democracy thank goodness! Democracy sucks because it is mob rule.

Our media is run with an iron fist??? Are you a foreigner or simply that stupid? It HAS to be one or the other.

  • Ok "You truly do not know the constitution. You need to read more and not crap like the socialist stuff without facts that are currently clouding your mind." I can literally cut and paste several links from various sources that can back up everything I've said. For your sake Most of that material will come right from you tube so your small mind can digest the pictures easier. But let me ask you. Can you do the same to disprove anything I've said?

  • Secondly visitor4400, when I say we need to clean our own house I mean the following. We had New Orleans washed away, where were our resources? We can't fund schools where are our resources? Senior citizens have to choose between eating or paying for their medication where are our resources? Yet somehow the money is flowing when it comes to Iraq.

  • New Orleans is a local problem. Those people need to get a job! The money goes where congress decides it goes. Apparently you are all for stealing working peoples' money and handing it out to others who do not deserve it.

  • You are a sad human being. Why wouldn't we make sure that a U.S. city is made whole again? Isn't that the point of federal aide being properly spent? I suppose a statement like yours would be sufficient if it were half your town wiped out. And by the way "Those People" as your feable little mind subconsiously slipped in were and are working people who expected that the government who they'd been feeding their hard earned money to would actually respond in a much better way then they did.

  • Those people ARE parasites. Do you own a house?

  • Beautiful.

  • More than 100 Iraqis are killed everyday by terrorists. It is more a muslim sectarian war of genocide than a civil war. I now believe (didn't before) that the US needs to stay to prevent the majority of muslims there from living in fear from a minority of nutjobs.

  • visitor4400, Well to put it quite simple this wasn't happening until we got there. See if you can find out how many Suicide bombers there were before we arrived. Or look for the the term IED pre 2003. Saddam was evil but that was for the Iraqi citizens to settle not us. We need to start cleaning our own house before we go to the next door neighbors trying to preach to them about cleanliness.

  • Of course these terrorists were not murdering other Iraqis and Americans before the US put troops there. How many people were being killed on a daily basis by Saddam, sons, and henchmen prior. A heck of a lot more.

As far as 'cleaning our own house,' are you saying that we have good ole Islamic terrorists murdering innocents daily in the US? If not then that statement is misused by you.

  • 1/2 -- You're absolutely right. Saddam, etc were doing a lot of killing too. I never said anything to the contrary. However, do you have actual numbers? IF you do, is the source verifiable or was it a Fox News 'fact'? As for 'good ole Islamic terrorists', you make it sound like those are the only kind of terrorists around.

  • I don't know what a Fox News 'fact' is.

  • I'm quite sure you know exactly what a "Fox News Fact" is because you made it up on your own I said "watcher" but it tells volumes about you none the less. I guess being classified as such would mean fitting into some sort of stereotype of a typical Fox News watcher and judging by your earlier post you absolutely hate being perceived as "fitting in".

  • visitor4400 The first thing, "How many people were being killed on a daily basis by saddam, sons, and henchmen prior. A heck of a lot more." That is completely inaccurate, you've gotta be right wing because only some Fox news watcher could pull something like that from where the sun don't shine with a straight face. Although Saddamn and co were evil bastards they can't even begin to hold a candle to the carnage that is going on right now and you know that.

  • You are sadly misinformed. We all wonder where you get your 'facts.'

  • "We all wonder where you get your facts" isn't going to cut it. Don't try to pull other people into this. It is you with the problem. These are adults capable of speaking for themselves if they disagree. We are bringing this right back to you and I. Again, I can show you where my facts come from in multiple locations not just one. Again, Can you tell me exactly what piece of info was inaccurate without some broad sweeping sidetracked statement that has nothing to do with the conversation?

  • The "carnage" that is going on right now is very small compared to every other war the US has been in. Do you even know what other wars the US has been in? GET THE FACTS before you shoot off your uninformed fingers here please. It is obvious you have no clue. Get an education or at least learn to think for yourself.

  • "GET THE FACTS" Alright, lets begin with the facts of this current conversation. When did we at any point begin talking about other wars? They have nothing to do with the conversation and the "Carnage" going on now. But interestingly you went way off subject. Why? Oh thats right, it was because you didn't have anything else valid to say because you had to own the "FACT" that you were wrong.

  • Oh and I almost forgot....We weren't talking about The Gulf War, Korean war or Vietnam, or WW1 or 2 for that matter, or even our own Civil War, The Mexican American War, Barbary wars 1&2 or even booting the British out (No offense U.K. love you guys!) Do me a favor don't try to be intellectual when your claim to being some "free thinker" is the only thing you arm yourself with. Try bringing some relevant facts to the discussion next time and perhaps I'll reply.

  • Lastly vistor4400, If we keep ignoring the basic things in our own house then when or if more terrorist decide to come here we will all be to far stretched, sick, dumb or all of the above to resist.

  • RESPONSABILITY OF US GOUVERNMENT, MORE SAFE UNDER SADDAM AUTORITYS thats what we seee.... GIS are totally losing

in iraq, they are wonder why they come there?? whats the goal??

  • Your president doesn't want to get it.

  • I do hope there is a GOD!!

  • google bush crime family

  • Thank You AVA. See you at The Pentagon March 17th.

This is wonderful. Painful - but great.

  • Very touching video. Its nice to see the emotional toll this war is taking rather than just seeing the blood and carnage. It humanises the Iraqis to the scum that call them names and blame THEM for the fact they were invaded. I think a childs tears speak louder to the ignorants than a bloodied corpse ever will.Thx for the vid

  • If anyone who sees this still has doubts about whether the Iraq war is justified then I feel sorry for them because they are lost and just don't get it.

  • peace takes courage. And just where do you use this courage? Don't you people understand decision theory? So let's say that the USA did nothing after the 911 attackes that killed 3,000 unknowing office workers? Did everyone forget about this 3,000 dead figure? So peace takes courage.. how? where do you use it? do you use this courage doing nothing? or watching more terrorist attacks in the US? what would have happened next .. What are your theories?

  • Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11.

  • You make this statement based on what information? 911 was a US goverment staged event? Bin Laden was not supported by Saddam? something you read? or heard? Abu Musab al-Zarqawi, the mastermind behind hundreds of bombings, kidnappings and beheadings in Iraq was not killed found and killed in Iraq? If you want to stop the growth of oranges you'll need to attack Florida, stop grunge attack Seattle, auto manufacturing - Detroit. Stop Terrorist- Well it surley wouldn't be Hawaii

  • The entire Bin Laden family along with all wealthy ruling Saudis where hated by Saddam.

Now that Zarqawi, has been killed and the world is so much safer lets get our people out of that place and W Bush can declare "success-victory" in his moronic war game, good guys vs evil doers.

I fear that the growth of oranges is not what you ElephantOwners want to stop.

  • 1 of 4 omg...I was just speaking with this woman who was an ardent Clinton fan. I pointed out that I had no respect for the man. He may have achieved alot in terms of the budget et al but as a man, I don't think much of him. But she wouldn't hear of it. She actually tried to justify his philandering wrongs with the rights he had done. Similarly, you may have some good points but aren't you doing what you're accusing us of - to force only your perspective and be blind to others'?

  • I'm also sick of the "l/c" bullshit. Are you aware that this false division was foisted on us intentionally? Remember the phrase "divide and conquer?" (The same techniques have also been used in Iraq, by the way.) I look forward to the day when Americans start using evidence and logic in their arguments again and not the latest swill coming out of their TeeVees. I have enjoyed our little debate here. I hope to have more like this, (although the "Special Olympics" reference was unfortunate.)

  • The US military is in not in Iraq for the oil, per se. It's there so American andmulti national iol companies can control and make the profits from that oil. NO Iraqi oil comes to the US and none has for a couple of decades now (at least since the embargo). Most of it goes to China and Europe but making the profit from it is the key goal of the US

  • We agree then. I don't think leaving will bring peace to Iraq either. We've really opened a hornets' nest there. I think our presence keeps this stirred up. However, at this point, it may be self-perpetuating.

But can you tell me why you think our staying will bring peace? Is it the permanent bases from which we'll rule while our U.S. based International Oil Companies fulfill their 30 year contract to confiscate 70% of Iraq's oil?

  • The number is 75% of the profits "UNTIL" the cost of training their people to operate their NEW oil processing facililtes that are being installed by US oil companies are paid back, then these companies will receive only 25% of the profits for crucial on going support. This goes much, much deeper and is a good thing for the stabiliztion of Iraq and all parties involved. But I am sure most of you will graze the importance and skip right to the demonization of the Republican Administration.

  • 3 of 4 I'm guessing you'll respond quickly because you're someone who's very passionate. Passion is good. But don't waste it on me. Direct it to those who can BENEFIT from your actions - help at a soup kitchen, start a charity drive, run for the local mayor or councillor position to give your time to listen to people's complaints and try to help them...and don't ever get corrupted. I'd like to run into you 5 years down and say, "wow...ElephantOwner! I really admire what you've done!

  • The "demonization" of the present Republican Administration is an ongoing self inflicted phenomenon, unmatched in the short history of our nation.

So now we know, "NEW" Oil processing facilities are indeed the "success-victory" that W keeps talking about, and the rest of us are fighting and dieing for in Iraq.

Who signed that 75%-25% and 25% and 75% contract?

    Stabilization?

    You Sir, are an idiot.

  • What do we get if we "win?" What does it mean if we "win?" Frankly, I'm still confused about why we're there. Can you tell me? Maybe we can go from there.

  • If we STAY it won't do a damn thing. You're brainwashed by FOX.

  • You know, after watching this and then reading your moronic comment, I had to go in the bathroom and throw up. Let WHAT fucking government do its job??? Do you mean the Bush fuckups? Do you think we're going to bring peace to these people by continuing to blow them to pieces? You idiot.

  • We can never be sure about the exact numbers because all we have are lies, big lies and statistics! However, the pictures show aspects of the reality in Iraq. Use them to make up your mind.

Me? well, I can't stop a crazy man from killing another crazy man but I would try to make sure those who don't want to be killed have a chance. Unfortunately, we got crazies on both sides - ours and theirs. Where do we start?

  • I am thinking we have less lies than people who cannot seem to handle the truth. or people who have no idea how the US goverment operates. Or people who just parrot what they hear. or people who do not try to find credible sources of information and check facts. Or people who find it easy to fall on the side of emotional masturbation ideals like no more hunger, no more killing, no more wars, but offer no solutions.

  • 2 of 4 Then again, this IS the internet, where every man will have his day. Perhaps we'll find our answers someday. My personal feeling is that we should take most politicians (a few good ones deserve exemption), put them in a barrel and push them off a pier. I would do this because too many get elected and then do no good.. Much like one should hate the deed but love the man, I love the country but hate the politicians and bureaucrats.

  • We could start by trying to kick start you into thinking clearly and taking a side. Our crazies??? Are you referring to the US soldiers?

  • the real numbers of u.s dead are well over 40,000 check the american mass graves video.. u.s soldiers being dumped in iraq by american army.. sickining.. and god knows how many iraqis died..

  • This is stupid and annoying. You just don't throw numbers out there without some evidence. If there were indeed 40,000 U.S. servicemen/women dead, the families would let us know. Or is it possible that EVERY person related to those 40,000 has been disposed of also? Let's see we'll give a conservative estimate, 7 people know 40,000 military, that's 280,000 quiet? <sigh>

  • Seems like a pretty good idea of peace to me. Worked great until the Zionists wanted us to go after Saddam because he wouldn't kiss their ass.

  • The sooner we pull out of that country the better.

  • man you are dumb...

  • Only Bush is the murderer to liberals, Liberals are the dumbest fucking people on God's earth. I wish Saddam would be in charge here, I could stand to see some leftists exterminated.

  • Great work as always Ava. The troops will come home that much faster because of you...keep up the good work!

  • Ava, words fail me. I have put together several movies about the horrors of this war. I have viewed hundreds of images and I always feel like every person of voting age needs to see the faces of the real people who are being killed and the people whom they leave behind. Thanks.

  • And let's not forget that there are others who have died in hospitals in Germany and here back home. They are not included in the "official" total. It's long past time to end this occupation of a country in the midst of a civil war. How stupid does Bush think we are? He is a buffoon and I refuse to refer to him as President. - rightiswrong

  • Ava, as always, excellent work. My heart breaks for the people of Iraq and for the families who lost loved ones in this debacle.

  • Thank you for showing the truth and horror of war.
