The US military is in not in Iraq for the oil, per se. It's there so American andmulti national iol companies can control and make the profits from that oil. NO Iraqi oil comes to the US and none has for a couple of decades now (at least since the embargo). Most of it goes to China and Europe but making the profit from it is the key goal of the US

Very touching video. Its nice to see the emotional toll this war is taking rather than just seeing the blood and carnage. It humanises the Iraqis to the scum that call them names and blame THEM for the fact they were invaded. 1 of 4 omg...I was just speaking with this woman who was an ardent Clinton fan. I pointed out that I had no respect for the man. He may have achieved alot in terms of the budget et al but as a man, I don't think much of him. But she wouldn't hear of it. She actually tried to justify his philandering wrongs with the rights he had done. Similarly, you may have some good points but aren't you doing what you're accusing us of - to force only your perspective and be blind to others'?

I'm also sick of the "l/c" bullshit. Are you aware that this false division was foisted on us intentionally? Remember the phrase "divide and conquer?" (The same techniques have also been used in Iraq, by the way.) I look forward to the day when Americans start using evidence and logic in their arguments again and not the latest swill coming out of their TeeVees. I have enjoyed our little debate here. I hope to have more like this, (although the "Special Olympics" reference was unfortunate.)

The US military is in not in Iraq for the oil, per se. It's there so American andmulti national iol companies can control and make the profits from that oil. NO Iraqi oil comes to the US and none has for a couple of decades now (at least since the embargo). Most of it goes to China and Europe but making the profit from it is the key goal of the US

We agree then. I don't think leaving will bring peace to Iraq either. We've really opened a hornets' nest there. I think our presence keeps this stirred up. However, at this point, it may be self-perpetuating.
But can you tell me why you think our staying will bring peace? Is it the permanent bases from which we'll rule while our U.S. based International Oil Companies fulfill their 30 year contract to confiscate 70% of Iraq's oil?

The number is 75% of the profits "UNTIL" the cost of training their people to operate their NEW oil processing facililtes that are being installed by US oil companies are paid back, then these companies will receive only 25% of the profits for crucial on going support. This goes much, much deeper and is a good thing for the stabiliztion of Iraq and all parties involved. But I am sure most of you will graze the importance and skip right to the demonization of the Republican Administration.

Direct it to those who can BENEFIT from your actions - help at a soup kitchen, start a charity drive, run for the local mayor or councillor position to give your time to listen to people's complaints and try to help them...and don't ever get corrupted. We can never be sure about the exact numbers because all we have are lies, big lies and statistics! However, the pictures show aspects of the reality in Iraq. Use them to make up your mind.

My personal feeling is that we should take most politicians (a few good ones deserve exemption), put them in a barrel and push them off a pier.
