Not everyone needs to be an activist in their music all the time. Sometimes all you need is a silly pop song to give you three minutes of respite before you put shoulder to stone again (especially when the world is falling down around you).

I always found Riki Tiki Tavi to contain a decent message, thinking of one just off the top of my head. (Not really activist so much, true, but it does display a healthy skepticism of government). And Universal Soldier, while a cover song, addresses some pretty serious themes of war and ideology as well.

Every time that I see my Liver-transplant Nurse 'Jennifer' I think about this song ,and man,she is very sexy, I'm afraid to tell her about this song,because she might think that I'm a little weird ? I heard the song for the first time on The Simpsons. I have a book called Blackbird by Jennifer Lauck, her father the late Joseph Lauck or Bud to his family and friends, called his daughter Jennifer Juniper. maybe this song was his inspiration for her nickname.
