for about 11 years i used the innova champion. its a very versatile, easy to throw disc thats just a great all around frisbee to use. so i suggest innova as a great starting brand of discs to use. hope this helps some, message me on IAM or something if you have any other questions and i'll try to help out. peace.

I would agree that a Innova Roc is a good all round disc. Once you learn to throw that well enough you can progress to throwing fairway drivers and distance drivers.
I would suggest getting a putter (i.e. Innova Aviar) as well because it does make approaching within 50 a lot easier than with just one disc.
The best advice I can give you is buy a midrange disc and learn it. It's the best way to learn how a disc flys. YOu can drive with it putt with it and well. My suggestion is a INNOVA ROC. or DISCRAFT BUZZZ those are the two best all round midrange discs on the market.
