  • Man why aren't there more republicans like him?

And this guy is gone now too.

    They voted him out.

    It's sad really.

  • Dude... Don't lie to us... Just stop.... repuplicants are all about big business and they want nothing to do with medicare for all.... Hell they want to get ride of medicare for our elderly for god sake.... Stop lying goof ball

  • Barak Obama's Health Care Proposal, Will you support this gov's law? See my channel page to See precisely why Americas opinons matters !!

  • politics suck

  • Do people who earn 250k, or more a year, have to pay 75% of Income tax? Or was it dropped?

I remember them implementing it but nothing seems to be solid since the info is buried in the Reform.

  • Well this is a first! A Republican I can agree with!

  • That's why this rhino mother fucker is gone as soon as he hits the ballot again hahaha

  • It is barbaric to use force to solve social conflicts. Which is exactly what the government does. In fact, that is all the government does. I think it's time to show a little civility, and stop pretending that this system is legitimate.

  • Seriously, how many promises has Obama broken now. If America could see what he is doing now he never would have been elected. Remember that tax cut talk??? what a liar. He said like 8 times our taxes would not go up a single dime. Transparency? Nope. No lobbyists? Plenty. Public to have 5 days to review before he signed any bill? Nope. Debates on C-Span? Nope. And many more. Man what a failure.

  • @trencher7

    He's broken 16 promises.

"Remember that tax cut talk??? "

You mean the tax cuts he delivered?

"He said like 8 times our taxes would not go up a single dime. "

& They haven't for people who make less than 250k which is what he promised.

  • the new world order has hijacked our republic..its time to wake up and get informed..check out my page for info

  • @grant859 nice,a mix of racism and xenophobia in one post

  • meh, i agree with until your bring colour into it. White people use welfare more than anyone.

  • @grant859,

people like you should not have pets, nobody forced you to take care of the dog. there is humane societies all over the country. you can give it up for adoption tomorrow. also thanks for scamming the government. there are people out there that need it far more than you.

  • You should stop writing publicly, because you just come off looking ignorant and hateful.

  • @ProfessorPEARL,

"Not passing health care is tantamount to actively killing people."

I just wanted to point out that you said that. I'm not going to comment further, because I don't think I even need to.

  • That being said, now the need for overseas accs and lil profits in the USA will be absolutely necessary. No point in even living in the US if u earn more than 250k a year. People MUST have HC insurance or face fines that can reach to 20k. The only defense

is to claim that HC is "against" your "religion".

Cannot believe everyone forgetting Illegals in the equation. Cally already gives them free HC from Prop 187 in a State that money disappears and has more votes in the House.

    Food 4 thought

  • all you lose is a tax deduction as the penalty.what logic are you using or not using to believe it's no point in making over 250k in america?

  • mcvec

The already sick you say? Are you referring to the people who are already in Medicare, Social Security checks and STATE health insurance? THose people, are you really that stupid? Why don't you learn our system before you go spurting bullshit.

Ironically, the only reason why nations have free HC is because they have no military compared to ours. Now our relationship with our allies will deteriorate even further because their military GNP spending will increase cuz of us.

  • it's not free there, they pay for it through taxes.

  • wow, a repub for single payer on the 1st day AFTER the vote?! is it me or this just sounds too gimmicky?! these repubs are sure sleazy. what happened to "we are a free country" free market bullshit?! I thought republicans were for capitalism...LOL! BTW in EVERY private multipayer system, like Switzerland and the Netherlands health insurance is compulsory because of adverse selection. there is no other way to have a private for profit system.

  • marniespeaks: so who do you buy your car insurance from? Not saying I agree with mandatory policies, but the argument doesn't seem valid.

  • What a hypocrite.

  • So he decides to open his trap NOW? Why didn't this ass speak up when democrats were pushing for it and failed; when was it - 10 months ago?

He jumped off the bandwagon when he was playing party politics and now he pretends to know which way to go. Silly little man.

  • The intended purpose of HC reform will be to improve access & control prices. The gov. cannot control cost - they don't provide the service - but they can coercively cap prices (which will cause unintended results).

If you can follow how an Insurance Co. cutting waste or someone w/ pre-existing conditions, reduces cost and therefore increases profits; in the sameway increasing access w/ out increasing supply results in higher prices - the two main purposes of the bill are already defeated.

  • Shadegg is using reverse psychology, here. He's attempting to cause voters to believe that health care insurance reform and regulation will have the opposite effect of its intended purpose.

Shadegg's benefactors (the private for profit insurance companies) are encouraging their flunkies in Congress to mildly demonize their prime directive -- profits at all costs, even the lives of millions of people -- in a desperate attempt to shoot this bill down.

The old trick is obvious, and won't work.

  • both partys are screwed. i thank them for waking up so many americans to their corruption.

  • I hope that bill doesn't pass.

I pray everyday that people who paid attention in school, like myself, doesn't have to carry the weight of the illegals, bums, reckless, irresponsible, scammers and felons to get free medical coverage.

I really hope it doesn't pass.

  • So we'll have more children like Marcelas Owens, Zumante Lucero, or Diamonte Driver? These are stories that were covered only because children were involved.

Not passing health care is tantamount to actively killing people. People who have done nothing wrong, save their not being wealthy enough to afford to pay for medicines, procedures, or proper consultations. These are not foreigners, they are Americans. These are not criminals, they are humans.

    Take your own suggestion.

  • And don't forget those sick people who can't get insurance b/c of their condition. Those lazy motherfuckers, right?

  • AMERICA is living in Archaic times.

  • This is what happens when your talking points get tripped up over each other.

  • guys speaking the truth, its nice to hear it on tv

  • I support single payer.

Each person buying their own insurance on the open market, with insurance companies competing against each other across state lines (no different insurance mandates in different states, 1)and forcing lower prices like car insurers do (Geico, Progressive etc).

    Scrap Medicare.

    Scrap Medicaid.

    Scrap the SCHIP Get-The-Middle-Class--On-the-Govt-Dole Program.

Refund the tax money for all these programs to the taxpayers and let them buy insurance on their own.

  • FINALLY, well done Shadegg! This guy will get killed by fellow Republican, but I respect his honesty on the facts of the issue...

  • It's going to Pass and The American Public will like it...This is Shadegg's "Insurance" when the General Public slaughters the Republicans for trying to stop it.

  • Lol you still think there are two sides to this tarnished coin. This is a plea for campaign support from big pharma

  • If this really were the GOP stance for a single payer Medicare program, then they have my vote. Where was this voice during the first six years of the Bush Presidency? It is so easy to make this statement when the 11th hour has come to pass legislation that puts Insurance companies on notice (not enough, but better than what is present).

  • nah multiplayer modern warfare is much more fun, spec ops is nice too though

  • don't jizz yourselves neo-lib's, it slipped out while he was all in a tiff. He said "I would support single payer IF" When asked to clarify he said he wants private insurance companies competing for business which is a far cry from single payer.

don't get so desperate that you twist your enemies' words around so you can delude yourself into thinking they're on your side.

real reform means freedom. more government is just more government. this bill isn't reform it's more of what's wrong!

  • @natdavi neoliberal means supportive of laissez-faire policies, not progressivism.

FWIW, Shadegg's spokeswoman released a statement:

"Forcing them to compete, even through a public option, would be better than an individual mandate which will not work."

this bill isn't more govt, it's $138 BILLION taken off the deficit in the first 10 yrs, and $1.2 TRILLION taken off in the next. it's time for America to join the rest of the capitalist world and have universal healthcare.

  • @joshatkins94 no that's classical liberal that supports laissez fair. and yes, a public option is bad but it's still better than the out-and-out totalitarianism of an individual mandate. but public option still isn't single payer.

and the rest of the world isn't capitalist. government ownership of the means of production wether it's a factory or an insurance product is not capitalism, it's statism and it's failing.

  • @natdavi I didn't say _the rest of the world_ is capitalist, I said the _rest of the capitalist world_ has universal healthcare.

"neoliberalism (n): 1. A political movement that espouses economic liberalism as a means of promoting economic development and securing political liberty."

  • @natdavi He did not slip... he was asked point blank if he supported a single payer and he emphatically said yes. I will agree that he obviously does not mean it and will say anything in the 11th hour to make this Obama's Waterloo. He like all the other GOP members are disingenuous in their attacks. I actually wish he meant it. I would like to see a Medicare for all, but I think it would not have scored as well with CBO. Oh well.

  • Finally, a Republican speaks up ! Points to Congressman Shadegg.

  • Way to TRY and manipulate what he was saying.

He stated free markets, not what we have now, and not the government takeover.

    Jeez, lie much?

  • What is wrong with letting consumers purchase health ins. nationwide, just like life insurance, car insurance and home insurance?? What am i missing??

  • I can't respect anybody who says EEN-shurance.

  • wow! great. we need all the support we can get. he is!!!!

  • wow! great. we need all the support we can get.

  • Single payer is the ultimate goal of healthcare reform....always has been. The boobs just aren't smart enough to look at the big picture. Insurance companies are never going to comply, never going to change their way of doing business and will find the loopholes in any reform bill - raising premiums and refusing to cover people.

Those with a brain know that...those with a brain know the ONLY reform is to either have a public option or single payer.

All the rest is simply to get it passed.

  • true true. . .

  • hope so. it's worked in every other capitalist countries it's been tried in.

  • @joshatkins. It's the only way it would work. If the "opposition" hadn't used the words "single payer" and "public option" in such a disparaging way, it could have been accomplished immediately. However, those who oppose reform - for their own monetary purpose - have filled the air with nonsense about this program to its detriment.

Once the bill is law, the modifications can begin...and I'm confident it will.

There is no need for insurance companies; they do nothing and have no function.

  • @172677 I agree completely.

  • This man is an A class asshole!!! DO NOT insult my intelligence!! That anyone would believe a rethuglican could actually care about people is beyond me!!

  • What a fucking LIAR.Where was this asshole when single payer was up for a vote?Rethugs just make me sick with their Bushshit ant lies.

  • obama sold out to big insurance he's gonna lose and we will end up in more wars

    want a revolution

    put the GOP in charge

  • hahaha. where were you in 2000-2008. are you kidding???

  • you want more?

  • Marnie, you mean the same GOP that has done dick to reform healthcare for 40 years and called anyone who tried a socialist (same tactic they used when Medicare was proposed). Or the GOP that already led us into two wars without any semblance of an actual strategy to win. Your logic is faulty at best, no wonder you support Shedegg and his neocon goon squad.

  • @priorzola

    yeah read what I wrote

  • I read it, there's no logic to it. The GOP have been selling out to the insurance companies for decades (and still are) and the GOP started our current wars. Want a clue, read the bill.

  • He ment he would rather have single payer than that phony pathetic bill. But the solution is still breaking those mini monopolies by letting people purchase across state lines... something the dems arent gonna do.

  • How is that going to help? The whole "selling insurance across state lines" think is a red-herring.

  • @TheProgressistViewer

crossing state lines won't help - imagine living in say Maryland buying insurance in California and that company not paying up - you'll have to fly there to sue

and if they end up being fly by night your SOL

U-Care or state option is the best

This crap the dems are gonna pass is unconstitutional anyway

you can force people to by from a private vendor

  • what?

  • Shadegg never said he supported single-payer. He said he supported a bill that forced for-profit insurance companies to compete. Very different.

  • He says "I would support single payer" at 0:51 in this video.

  • BULLSHIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The reason the healthcare bill is a give away to the insurance companies, is because republicans (including this douche) spent all of last year, yelling about socialism and government take over.

If Shadegg wants single payor lets see him cosponsor and actively promote Alan Grayson's medicare buy in bill.

  • That interviewer was a bit of an asshole, interrupting him like that, but that's how politics in this country goes...

  • the moron doesn't even know what single-payer is.. he's merely filling the air with words and syllables without context or meaning..

    damn, conservatards are stupid

  • So government-run insurance is evil but Medicare needs to be protected and now private insurance in the problem o.O

  • micahgee, that's how the GOP rhetoric works. It's called the kitchen sink approach. If calling your competitor Marxist or Hitler doesn't work, and then inserting wedge issues like abortion and immigration doesn't work, and questioning the legality of reconcilliation in Congress (even thought Bush did the same thing) doesn't work, then you start arguing w/ the enemy using their own theories. It's some sorta voodoo mind trick the neocons like to play when they've run out of ideas.

  • Nothing was stopping him from proposing an alternative when it was up for debate.

Honestly? The bill's so watered down now I wouldn't bother voting for it either, but let's not pretend Shadegg's reasons for voting against it are altruistic...

  • talk about talk out the side of of your two faces

  • Oh please.....

  • This coming from the same guy that dangled a baby on the house floor?

I don't believe this schmuck one bit.

  • Well, the gov't did drop the ball on interstate commerce regulation in insurance in 1948 or so with McCarran-Ferguson, even though the SCOTUS said it was totally fine for Congress to regulate. And of course, state gov'ts and bureaucrats picked up the slack with lots of regulation requiring insurers to cover everything under the sun even in their most basic packages.

Kind of hard to compete when costs are extremely high, and you're all required to provide the same basic shit.

  • Yessiree. Now that the Republicans are on the cusp of Nov elections, they'll say any goddamned thing in order to keep their jobs. There wasn't a single Republican on the Hill advocating for single-payer health care a year ago; in fact, they were publically and vehemently against it. Now, with the elections coming up, all of a sudden you've got bozos like this guy saying he's in favor of it. Where are all the Republiklans screaming "Flip-flopper!" now?

  • You mean, he was against single payer, but now he's for it, but just not enough to vote for? Bullshite. How many sides of a single issue does this man think he can be on?

  • @dafttool @dafttool Its not just him aii Republicans are as crazy. They are not interested in facts and just hate our president. These people have no values anymore. They can not attack the real reform bill, so their only plan is to lie and delay.

  • i wish some of these programs would just cancel due to the lack of interesting news making human beings-- "sorry, no show today folks! we did have one unknown late coming ninny crawling out of the woodwork for his last hypocritical moment in the sun, but out of respect for your intelligence we decided to spare you"

  • well said, please spare us from the lying hypocritical Repig retards!

  • he's trolling.

  • I am glad most of us watching are not stupid.. but i can't understand those that fall for this shit.

  • They really have no shame do they?

Dems out of power: Do you favor single payer? How dare you ask that you socialist fascist communist anti-American radicals!

Dems in power, refusing to push for real reform: Do you support single payer? Absolutely.

Their outright lies really do know no boundaries.

  • :O

    Hell is getting colder

    C'MON! MAKE HIM PUT UP!

  • So VOTE that way you dumbass!!

  • No way in hell would he ever vote for that.

  • this is such a failure of a bill.

no mandate without a public option!

  • Then why didn't he vote for the original house bill? FULL OF SHIT!

  • I saw that this morning.

I was amazed at the Republican hypocrisy now saying that the bill favor the insurance after they did all they that they did to derail all provision to regulate insurance companies.

It makes one question to what extend free speech is a license to lie and mislead people.

as far as I am concerned the penalty for purposely misleading for political gains publics should be death.

We really need another French Revolution to clean up all these hacks.

  • I wonder if Obama could do it over again if they would have just pushed for a Medicare Expansion where people >55 could buy-in to Medicare. Then >50 a few years from now... In a couple of decades, Medicare would be the defacto Single Payer.

  • man you got that right. Anything to lure someone into clicking on their videos.

  • @PoliticalSkeptic you got that right

  • Huh? The title was an exact quote from 0:52.

  • he uses those exact words

    you fucktard

  • @brabon1 again not his argument, so it is misleading, read the comments before you comment

  • @ecwaufisxtreme you suck, at life.

  • @ecwaufisxtreme

And how is she going to do that?

Are you Moron Tea Party Bagger of the day.

Hateful, angry, ignorant and Stupid, just the way Republican like it.

  • NOW you tell US!
