I have an touch screen nano and I like it. It's now my watchh, when you update to the newest software it better. Also I have an iPod touch 3rd generation no camera and I like that too. People seriously stop complaining, you spent like $100 on these devices.
People are complaining about this new generation ipod nano because it does not have speakers and camera? hahahah that's so stupid if I want to make foto's i only want foto's out of a 12pixel camera... so even if it had a camera i wouldn't use it. And why speakers if you have headphones?
Before ipod nano I had Ipod classic, and I only used it for music. The only disadvantage was that it was tooo big!! it was so annoying and specially when I was working out.
24 h battery life - buhahaha. Good joke, really. 14 h is an absolute MAXIMUM, and even this is without touching the screen too much and with the 50% volume. So nice lie... Err...I mean nice try, Mr. Jobs
the battery cant get a 24 hours playback, i got that ipod and thats true, but probably, this can be because i upgrade it with the latest software version..
They could solve everything wrong with it by just making the edges of the screen clickable to skip track and stuff. The point is, there is more work involved with this to find a track than the last one. You can't mindlessly scroll and always find what you wanted like you used to.

@mardfet when they make it touch screen, controlling it is different altogether. The taps, drags and swipes all rely on software that they have optimised for specific OS, like the iphone and the ipod touch. Therefore they had to change the os to be similar to that of the iphone with Icons and such because it is the best for touch they can do. Furthermore, previous gen nanos were not flat screened, they were slightly curved.
multi-touch capacitive screen? shit when do we even use this? zooming in on pictures or what? that thing doesnt even have a camera so basicly one uses mutitouch to zoom in to itunes synced images, i can't imagine a better screen than this one to look at pics for sure. fucking useless. not to menton that if you place two of your fingers on that screen, you wont be able to see what the fuck you are actually doing.

Who needs an iPod for playing video or capturing pics you can do all that in a touch better. iPod nano has only one purpose and that's play music yet at the same time be extremely portable. The 6G does all that and I love it. Besides I use my iPhone for other purposes. So it's a cool gadget to have for those who like every thing in isolation like using separate devices to play games, capture pics or videos and music playing.

what the hell was wrong with the larger screen of the previous model? they could heve kept the design he fist showed without the click wheel and just made it multi touch, but no they deceide to shrink the screen even further and then outline it with thick ass black frame reducing the screen size even furter. also adding a clip whilst removing the camera and the ability to play video is idiotic, finaly this thing is waaaay over priced, i recommend the newest ipod touch model its much much better

@AxlSlash4 Do you have actual experience with the battery life? The iPad does 10-15% more than what they oficially announced - at least mine has been doing so ever since I got it. So why should they make an unrealistic announcement for the Nano, when for the iPad they announced even less than what it really does.

EXPENSIVE shuffle. Apple...FAIL!!!!!! This is a super shuffle on steroids not a Nano. How difficcult was it to keep all the characteristics of 5g nano? I love running but if you're planning to buy this version to be your exercising partner you´ll make a huge mistake (I want the wheel back) Why? Because you'll have to stop running if you want > or to || and to play again. Unless you select carefully your favorite tracks you´ll be doing nothing but ruining your training sessions,

Who needs an iPod for playing video or capturing pics you can do all that in a touch better. iPod nano has only one purpose and that's play music yet at the same time be extremely portable. The 6G does all that and I love it. Besides I use my iPhone for other purposes. So it's a cool gadget to have for those who like every thing in isolation like using separate devices to play games, capture pics or videos and music playing.

the ipod does not exceed expectations in the past, I've purchased and the battery does not last as long as they assert, this iPod also has no camera or video or anything. in my opinion this is an error ipod

My FIRST EVER Apple iPod (after 25 years with Sony Walkmen, but not for long) is coming Wednesday, a great reason to blow my next unemployment check ($180 at that!!! Thanks, Washington State!!!) when I get it, and I chose the Nano 6G 16GB in Silver and have assigned my cling-wrap-modded Sony MDR-EX90SL IEM's, and my Sony MDR-V700DJ headphones to use with it and my silver FiiO E5 amp, in which is hooked up to the Nano by a FiiO L1 line out dock connector running in between them.

@georgieissex I agree. I really wanna shoot Steve. They ruined the Nano. It was always a perfect balance between all the other iPods. As far as features and price went. Now its basically useless. All it is is a shuffle with a touchscreen. No video and no video camera. I thought you're suppose to upgrade the features not downgrade them. It's not worth the money.

what the hell was wrong with the larger screen of the previous model? they could heve kept the design he fist showed without the click wheel and just made it multi touch, but no they deceide to shrink the screen even further and then outline it with thick ass black frame reducing the screen size even furter. also adding a clip whilst removing the camera and the ability to play video is idiotic, finaly this thing is waaaay over priced, i recommend the newest ipod touch model its much much better
