About In the 11 th century farmers start building levees to keep dry feets for themself and their catle and to grow some crops to eat. The government used katrina as an example to put people on FEMA trains and buses. To transport them "SOMEWHERE SAFE"... 2 million people evacuated in 48 hours. Thats insane.

I spent alot of time researching FEMA "Death" Camps. Gave me a good chuckle to see how people believe in these things. I also find it funny that they always use the same pictures, same discritpions, and most websites are modereated by the same people. Really, its a scare tatic by a few people to make some money. Everybody in NOLA had plenty of time to get out before Katrina hit in 2005!! It wasn't like it came without warning, they watched it on the news for days!! If a speeding car is coming at you and you know it's on the way and you can see it with your own eyes do you get out of the middle of the road or do you just stand there and wait until it hits you then blame somebody else? Thats a big problem in the US today, people always want to blame somebody else for their own problems!!

tiretackle if you had your facts straight..you'd kno that katrina actually missed new orleans....if the levees did not fail new orleans would have been just fine. People from new orleans have a right to blame the U.S. government because they are responsible for those levees being safe. Run away, property damaged can be replaced, but human life can't. 2005 was the worse year for the city and another tragic event should not be repeated. Don't even think of riding out the storm. Don't even think of seeking refuge at the Convention Center or the Superdome. Those places may nor survive this monster. Remember what happened in Missisippi, when Katrina hit dead center. Because Federal bailouts are operating by law instead of private insurance, there is no incentive for people to choose somewhere less risky to live and/or evaluate the risk versus cost. The Intervention of the Army Corps of Engineers only exacerbates the problem, where the citizens of New Orleans would have been forced to consider New Orleans' reason for existing. But at least they got a better forewarning, this time.

TakaraKing....b4 August 29, 2005 new orleans had not been damaged by a hurricane since 1965...that's 40 years!!!!....and new orleans would've not have been flooded if the levees had held like they are suppose to.
