@sampsonist The levels you can't have Shy guy are the Bowser fight levels, inside castle, and the Secret Aquarium.

@yoshielectron I know what you could try but I don't suppose it's possible is make obj. bank codes that allows curtain objects like Bowser, King Bob-omb & Lava Bullies etc. to work on curtain courses that has default obj banks are now replaced & enabled to allow them so the game doesn't have curtain effects like crashing etc.

@sampsonist You could trade some objects for others but without using the expansion pack there wouldn't be enough memory.

@sampsonist Only if the game was changed to be able to use the expansion pack. But even then, if there were too many objects on screen the game would still slow down.
