thats not the point, TNA uses too many gimmick matches, they have already killed most of their gimmick matches as a result (Ladder Match, Ultimate X), just some examples

True, its not officially recognized by TNA, but they need to slow down with the gimmick matches, I mean, look at all of the gimmicks from BFG to know, ultimate X, full metal mayhem, submission, monsters ball, six sides of steel, street fight, im sure there is more as well, come on, there is no need for all of that in under a month

But on the flip side, a PPV full of standard matches can become very boring if not properly executed. I agree oversaturating PPVs with gimmick matches will hurt in the long run (as gimmick matches are seen as 'special'. If we see them all the time, they are no longer special), but give TNA a chance. I think they are starting to get their feet planted firmly on the ground and running towards a competitive platform against other big Wrestling companies.

its not that TNA overuses gimmick matches, but they overuse the same gimmick match, and alot of the time, they show it on free TV, no one will get exited about a 6 sides of steel (like the one at turning point) if you show itt for free a weeek before (Invasion Vs Beer Money) another example is ultimate X, sure at BFG, it was great, but tell me the logic in giving away another ultimate X on the following impact with no built whats so ever, it was basically random
