how is an 8 inch meade cassegrain scope no good? you people are completely crazy lol, this stuff is expensive.

i can count 7 sheep grazing in the top paddock.....
take a good look...5 come through the gate..top corner of that dam.... either that or, i have a roo loose in my top paddock..............LOL.
seriously....i am thinking of getting a powerful telescope...to see detail of the moon etc...like you have> good detail of craters..saturn rings etc.
Meade ETX 105 also125 ..i don't want to see the whole galaxy...is there a model without the computer go-to GPS ? ...to cut down the cost.

a bit a of atmospheric turbulance, nice contrast over all considering, excellent optics, ashame the 105 is discontinued

Good shot of the crater Plato which is approximately 100km/dia. Also note the image-waves from the Earth's atmosphere/air moving.

Yes it's not the best, especially when the jet stream and city lights detract from the image. The opticals are much better than what the Celestron NexImage CCD captures. But it's still only an 8 inch Meade Cassegrain.
