@lovepunky86 Hello there, I'm sorry this is so late. I just use a damp cloth or napkin to clean the leather. I do take very good care of it so I haven't had that much to get off of it but I do like to clean the handles that i touch so often. Be careful though..... Sometimes when I rub kind of hard, I do get a little black die on my napkin. Just from the handles though. I've never checked with the Chanel boutique to confirm cleaning. Love your bag! Do you stil carry your bag often? Does the leather soften up a bit from regular use? Just wondering, because I have heard this bag is a little hard to get in and out of when it is stiff and brand new

@shoppinggirl2K well I haven't worn my Chanel since this past Christmas. I carried my Chanel for a full year each and every day. I never overfilled my bag because I didn't want to stretch it out. I took very good care of it. However, the medallion tote will always be a bit firmer by design. The leather is very thick and strong. I never zipped mine. I think the more you carry in it the more flexible it will be. I still love it so much. I will switch back and forth btw my Chanel and LV.

@shoppinggirl2K Also, the medallion tote is alot smaller inside than I realized. I love it but I do have to down size what I carry when I wear my chanel. Keep that in mind. Its beautiful and a Chanel bag that I can carry everyday to work and wear with hospital scrubs. I don't think I could wear very many of Chanel bag like that. I think you can wear the medallion dressed up or down. Just wanted to throw that in also. Thanks for watching.

I love your bag and wallet! I have a jumbo caviar with GHW. I want to get a wallet in lambskin but I'm too scared. I want a wallet that will look new in even a few years- something that ages great (like LV wallets.) I know the lambskin scratches pretty easily and is very delicate. I know even a single scratch on my lambskin wallet would kill me. How has your lambskin been with wear and tear? Do you think I should stick to caviar for wallets like I do with bags? Thanks!

@ehy210 Don't be afraid of the lambskin.. I love mine. Handbags need to be caviar but your wallet will be inside your bag most of the time, protected. I do have a small scratch that only I can see but thats expected. Its sooo buttery soft and elegant. I love my LV wallets also but for a chanel bag I would want a chanel wallet. My wallets don't have to be matchy but from the same designer if possible. Everyone should have lambskin at least once. Dont be afraid to wear it and enjoy every minute!!

I too have the GST tote caviar GHW, and am about to get the Caviar GHW maxi flap. In life seek what you want, it is never about what someone else thinks about you, it what you think about yourself. Sometimes if I really love an item, I will purchase two of the same, so when one wears out I will have a back up. Never deny yourself your own pleasures. Even if you wanted the same bag same color, who am I to judge?

So again go for it. I am sure you work hard everyday. :)

I really don't wear my handbag in any way that would demonstrate an attitude of any kind. I'm very proud of it and thankful. I haven't seen another Chanel at work but have seen several Louis Vuittons. I always love seeing other ladies with their designer bags. It gives me ideas too. I was in my 40s before getting it. Sure, there are 6 slots in my wallet for credit cards. Its really not considered a checkbook wallet so I don't know if thats why there are only 6 slots. However, I do carry my checkbook and register in there. It fits fine. I know you're not supposed to but I put at least 2 cards in each slot. Thanks for watching.

@mrsfortysomething Yes, there are definitely some videos were the bags just don't look 100% right or authentic...I think the best way to be 100% sure is to save up and go to the Chanel boutique as some girls are either pretending their bags are genuine, or they've purchased pre-owned and maybe don't know that they've purchased a fake bagx

@Missmoomin101 well, I really love the lambskin leather most but the caviar is really alot more durable. My handbag is in the caviar leather and I'm so glad it is. For me, the lambskin suits me just fine for my wallet. I've carried mine since Christmas and have not messed it up yet. I do understand though. My Chanel sunglass case has a small tear and scratch on the back of the case due to something in my purse. Perhaps it was the zipper on my cosmetic bag. If worried..... go with the caviar.

Saddlerackcowgirl, thanks for checking out my video. My medaillon tote does have a zipper. I must not have mentioned it in my video but it does have a zipper closure on the handbag. SORRY!!! The silver medaillon is attached to the zipper pull. I like to leave it open. Pulling that big medaillon across my handbag each time I open and shut it would be too much work for me. But.....it is there if you want to keep closed. If you have any mire questions, please let me know.

@lovepunky86 well, it can be carried on the shoulder. However, the drop is very short compared to other shoulder bags. I believe it would work for slender body types. Myself, I have more curves so...... its not as comfortable for me on the shoulder.The handle drop is short enough for it to be perfect for me to carry on my arm. If you want to see how it looks on the shoulder, google Lauren Conrad from the hills. It was her first Chanel bag. There are tons of pics of her carrying that handbag
