This is correct but when this form of technology goes mainstream it won't be with credit cards it'll be with smart phones and will most likely require you to open an app and put in a passcode to gain access. This is all introduction for the masses. The main idea isn't necessarily to be 'faster' it's to make your phone your entire wallet. Wait and see. Pretty soon your phone will be All you need to carry around- guaranteed.
the sleeves. I was wondering if you just have sleeves that fit credit cards or do you have smaller ones that would fit Y.M.C.A. cards or anything of that nature.
it sure is coming! they have these so you can find your pet if lost. whats next......the fear of your children getting taken by a weirdo , parents will implant their children! i bet there are thousands of people with this implant in their bodies. revelation is upon us
Get me one of those Ebay scanners. Wait till I get an RFID in my arm like the girl on Mythbusters. It's coming soon people. A nightclub in Spain has done it so members can be 'scanned' for entrance. What a way to get rid of nightclub doormen!!

Why not burn-out the RDIF in the card by using a coil and some power or just hit the card with a hammer?

@cllewis1
Go to KTLA website. And then in the search box near to top right type in RFID and hit enter.
You will see an article titled "Identity Identity Theft: How Safe Are You?". That is the original news story dated March 16, 2009.

This is just one more move into getting everyone chipped. The next step will probably be the putting of the chip into the actual person.
