The internal combustion engine is horrible. Oil doesn't even get to where it needs to get. Poor oil circulation engineering causes 80% of wear and tear on the engine. At 150,000 miles, basically its ready to fail.

good vid however i would add a torque wrench to the equipment this is needed to tighten the sump plug the manufacturer's specification and if you have a Skoda,like me, your oil filter is under the bonnet/hood (looks like a sports bottle. ohh and an amazing fact a land rover discovery takes 7.5 litres of oil to fill.

@Safiloo1 Most places ask you what you want and they have your car info. I only go because my apt lot doesn't let me work on my car unless its an emergency. The bad thing about those places is the type of job they do. They don't always do a good job, one time the overflowed my tranny fluid and also told me my lights were fine when I had a fog light and a DRL out. AND they topped off my rain-x washer fluid with some cheap blue crap and it didn't need topping off! Wasted my rain-x!

@boxer1023 if you don't put oil around the filter it can damage your engine. Oil circulates through the engine and if oil doesn't start there too then some of your engine can be damaged.

Some other good tips are buy oil in the big 4 quart jugs for cars and 5 quart jugs for trucks you can use the jug to pour the old oil into for easy disposal at auto parts stores. And my wife came up whith this one use a small piece of paper a or note and fold it and write down the mileage for the next oil change and tape it to your windshield with clear tape it works great and doesn't fade over time like those stickers
