@biggstile Thanks mate :) You might be surprised to hear that it's actually a girl on drums, and yes she does play very well! She's right up there with the best drummers i've played with/ seen play in my areas, and definitely gives the guys a run for their money! Just goes to show that girls can bring the funk too :)
you think this would be hard for someone with slightly smaller hands than the average joe to play comfortably with this? i nvr tried a 6 string before. anyways i might just stick to 5 strings lol
@FunkySpunky91 Given the relatively wide string spacing and large fretboard of the BTB you might be at a bit of a disadvantage. But I have seen pretty petite people play six-strings (Tetsuo Sakurai comes to mind) without any apparent hassles. If your hands aren't comfortable, there are six strings with smaller string spacing (Ibanez SR models and Gerald Veasley signature). Overall it isn't much worse than a five string
@basstrom88 thanks for the info. Too bad i can't find any of these basses anywhere lol. I would love to have the Gerald Veasley signature but that is way to expensive for my taste. great playing btw peace!
I almost bought this exact bass today! I love the neck accessibility all the way to the 24th fret. This sounds so amazing that I may be trading in my Yamaha TRB 6!!!
@womanlybassplayer Ah, just like that. Well the TRB 6 is a fantastic bass aswell. But, if you want too experience the sound of another brand, why not trade it of course? I'm wishing you the best with it, let me know how it's going if you trade your TRB 6. Cheers!
@jimbo5631 Considering how wide the neck is, it's relatively thin so it's comfortable to play. If you're coming from playing a 4 string (like I did) it'll initially feel like playing a surf board, but it's easy to adjust to (especially if you have long fingers). The string spacing is quite wide so slap is still easy to play. It can also be set up with a very low action with little fret buzz, and the 35" scale puts plenty of tension on the B string.
