hi im really intrsted in Jazz, could you explain the basics drum pattens to me like were would my kicks snars and hats go if i was zoomed into the 16th of a bar? and what sort of tempo(bom) should i be on ruffly?
I'd apreachiate the insight! kuz like i said i'm really intrested in jazz but if you look up how to make jazz music on google you just get bombed with info on the blues scale which i know is relavent and its somthing i am lerning BUT WHAT I REALLY NEED TO KNOW IS ABOUT DRUM PATTERNS!
@ceetheproducer well, in this particular song, i just found one of the preset drumryhtms in Reason. something low tempo... about 80-100 bpm, and with a funky feel to it, but still what they would call a standard drum rhythm. in more regular jazz, they tend to use brushes and shuffle rhythm, and a bit higher tempo, so it all depends on what you're aiming for. btw, i'm not an expert in any way, but that's the experience i have :P... hope it's useful. ask anytime if you want to know more.

@ceetheproducer Put your own style to it
I do hip-hop with jazz effect
I put a oldschool, swing rap beat witha reversed jazzy effect :)
