The point is: I'm almost ALWAYS disappointed by new albums: real good artists NEVER do the same, and almost all the fan, they somehow want new things, but sounding exactly like the "first flash" the did experience....

it's like love! But the magic is, you trust the guy, because you like him, and you do listen to this new-but-not-as-good-track, and little by little, you enjoy it, and, yes, I'd like to have an instrumental, but soon i will be missing the "warning call" which is not to my taste first time! and you know what?

PART 2:

...what happed is our brain are flexible too, and get reconfigured by ALL the new song we CHOSE to listen, the cells connect a new way, and the artist introduces us in a new musical space, and enhance our taste! If you had to listen only the things that sounded great first hearing, you would love a tenth of what you love, especially with guys like DJ Shadow, whose musical taste, craft and knowledge is far beyond...everyone...ENJOY!

I really don't like this song. In my opinion it doesn't fit in with the album at all. Not only that, I love Shadow for his experimentation and originality. This just sounds like some post-punk crap you'd get about 6 or 7 years ago.

I really like this track, probably one of my favourites from The Less You Know, The Better. Kind of reminds me of Bloc Party. The rock inspired tracks are a welcome addition to the album in my opinion. I loved Endtroducing, but if shadow didn't keep mixing it up people would complain that his sound was becoming too repetitive. After all, it was through experimenting with new sounds and styles that made Endtroducing such a great album in the first place...

i really really dig this song,and the whole album. His first 2 are still my fav, but I'm hooked on the newest. however, ppl defending his change of direction nonetheless need to admit that The Outsider was just terrible (as hyphy rap is like to be). Hope he stays away from the bay area (c)rap game

hopefully this will shed some light. if ur dissapointed with the album, its bc u were expecting too much. it mite not click with u rite away much like "the private press" later u will want to smack urself for ever disliking this album in anyway. u mite think its a shitty shadow album, but then again does shadow even have a specific style? appreciate a new album rather then going so quick to judge it. watever u think, i think we can all agree this is a greater album than "the outsider"
