I was fortunate enought to see Ms Holliday do this on stage. I went several times just to hear and watch her perform this song. I recall one of the reviews called Effie's breakdown almost embarassing to watch it is so raw and powerful as performed by Ms Hudson. A historic moment in musical theatre.

Broadway is traditionally bigger smiles, brighter makeup, exaggerated movements. That's why this show was so incredible. You could sit in any seat in the theater be completely blown away without a hundred microphones or gigantic HD screen for the back row.
