Turns out the way they look is cuz they - dogs or coyotes - chew and scratch at their skin leaving them hairless and scabby...our dog had this and it was hard to get rid of...she would itch and chew at herself until she basically looked the same as in the pictures...if they snarl at you, they would look pretty scary...there's been some scientists talking about this in the last year that made the "mange/skin condition" connection...but believing in the chupacabra is more fun :-)

Alot of these hairless horror pictures are caused by the fact that in the wild animals catch diseases like mange that leave them hairless and the animal look so freaky and unrecognizable bald people mistake it for something else.

It's not a coyote. The hind legs and tail are way too long for that. There are other videos where you can see it's a lot more like a sampson fox in that regard. But I'm not sure it's one of those either. /watch?v=ndNiqNBJXe4 shows one that really doesn't look like either a fox or a coyote, but is clearly the same whatever-the-hell kind of canine-ish thing they're calling a chupacabra. It's like a dog and a thylacine had diseased babies, hehe.

@MMOinGAMEcom its a coyote with mange, (advanced stages) and Chupacabra is a legend more than anything, chubar means 'suck' in Spanish and cabra means 'goat, so goat sucker, I think a google search would explain it, but many of the animals suspected to be the 'legendary chubacabra' were in fact canines with mange and scabies.

Chupacabra does exist. The animals in this video are not chupacabras. Chupacabras look otherworldly with large red glowing eyes, long fingers, rat tail, muscular dinosaurish skin, long face, mouse ears, average over 6 feet tall like kangaroo, leaps forward bunny style but maneuvers mechanical style, stands on hindlegs, etc. Yeah, I've seen one so these dog versions could be wild animals or just unusual experiments..
