The best thing to do when you find a dungeon, is to take everything out and break the chests, so that you can take them with you. Then leave the monster spawner to make a mob grinder later(put a torch on the blocks on everyside of the spawner and it will disable it). and the best way to find where those spiders were coming from is to go back to where you heard them the most, and press "f" as fast as you can, the light from their spawner will show up against the blue background.
