Hello! Great trancy music! I wish you much succes with your first cd! I make since 1993 house music and I made already 6 full cd's and a lot of maxicd's.Soon I will be coming up here on Youtube with my new tracks.I make trancy tracks but also more party house, a little bit based on the chicage house.I use meanly a TR-707 for the drums, but use also drums from the Jd-800, Mc-303, Zoom Mtr-3 (fantastic for drumsounds and more!) and hopefully soon a Tr-606.Google "Jason Basson".Greetz Jason
I want so many good synths and keyboards too, my old yamaha Djx is just... old and got not the funktions i need, but like always i don`t have the money >.<
i want to buy a Roland Phantom G8!!! ^^ somebody know it closer???
@absurdusisyourmaster I am actually in the process of recording my debut CD, but due to a hectic schedule it won't be ready until 2012. But I'll keep you updated!
@TR0jAX As stated in the description, the output from the mixer was recorded with a stereo cassette deck, which provides some natural tape compression. Mild EQ and limiting was used in the final digital mastering stage.
Fantastic work! best analogue synth control i have seen on the tube! I love the little touches like the noise sweeps and pedal vcf control. Thanks for posting!
this is the perfect example of a finnish guy who doesn't fall into depression due to the lack of daylight.......LOL..........THUMBS FULLY UP. Another great talent descovered.
All the best and good luck with all your music projects,
@gencom Many thanks! Really appreciate your comment, especially coming from a professional! I checked out your work as well. Great stuff! All the best from Finland.
Absolutely beautiful. I wound up here because I had a song in my mp3 playlist called "shivers of life" from back when I had been hunting for vintage synth demos and samples years ago. I rediscovered it today and decided to Google the artist name. You know, it takes me days to put together a song and my songs aren't this good at all. You just stand in front of a keyboard and knock it out of the park. I'm glad there are people like you, or the world would just suck in stereo.
@Xezlec Wow, thanks a lot! Amazing that you had "Shivers of life" on your playlist! I think it was the first synth tune I ever made, probably around 1998-1999. I'll promise to keep the videos coming, at least in spring.
@TIPPERBLK Actually I used a Doepfer cable with 3.5 mm plugs with a typical headphones adapter plug (from 3.5 to 6.3 mm, stereo) and that works. You could also use an ordinary guitar cable and a 6.3 -> 3.5 mm adapter on one end.
well done nice to see live performance - i must say im jealous of your logan which i want- along with your axxe and the korg mono poly in the background- all synths on my wish list!
Hello, I must admit that I like what I see and hear very much. Thats what I call great ideas in work. And I like your older machines very much too. When I saw how you combine the tones I realized you the right person to ask. I produce music for 14 years, and I learned everything on my own. But I lack very much in one thing, and that is tone combining. You know - like that after A cant come E - for example. Is there any easy way to learn how to use tones?(Im affraid I dont have music hearing) thx
The logical answer to your question would be "study music theory". It will help somewhat, but you need to couple it with active music listening and analysing for it to actually help. But it takes of course time and can be very tedious. The easiest way (and my suggestion) is to take songs you really like and pick out the chord sequence or melody in those. Focus on the parts you like the best or would like to understand. Be sure to start with an easy tune!
Nice! Thanks for taking the time with multiple camera takes, which keeps it interesting, I can tell you enjoy using your great collection. Nice to see a Vesta Kaza still being used, I have mine still but sadly there's something wrong with it. Top marks for a creative use of the 606 too.
nice shit. in a way thats how some of my techno live sets are done. arpegiators and triggers are the kamm. i just did an electro live set that used the 808's triggers for 2 mono/polys and a poly 6. along with using a drum pad to trigger one monopoly..nice video man.
I really like this tune but also the To The Unknown Woman track. Maybe that could be a nice concept for an album to do: write tunes that in their use of sounds pay hommage to the synth-greats. You already got Vangelis and Jarre covered :-)
hi. i buld analogue synthesiser modules and also play music. look it up to what degree if you're interested.

@gearslutdog Thanks! You know, I'd really love to that and have been thinking about it for a year now. I just need to build up my repertoire first... :)
And I totally agree about watching people glaring at laptops on stage. Laptops really ruin the show.

Cool sounds, the Juno is a great engine ! I use a ROLAND SH-201 for example. It sounds like many of the good old analoge synthesizers from ROLAND.
