  • Hello! Great trancy music! I wish you much succes with your first cd! I make since 1993 house music and I made already 6 full cd's and a lot of maxicd's.Soon I will be coming up here on Youtube with my new tracks.I make trancy tracks but also more party house, a little bit based on the chicage house.I use meanly a TR-707 for the drums, but use also drums from the Jd-800, Mc-303, Zoom Mtr-3 (fantastic for drumsounds and more!) and hopefully soon a Tr-606.Google "Jason Basson".Greetz Jason

  • Really Good music bro...

  • Very cool!! I love that phaser. It has Jarre all over it!!! Creamy and rich. The Juno arpeggios are great too. Nice work.

  • Very nice track! Good choice of equipment.

  • cool classic keyboards there :)

  • Cool sounds, the Juno is a great engine ! I use a ROLAND SH-201 for example. It sounds like many of the good old analoge synthesizers from ROLAND.

Please take an ear to my channel, if you like.

  • @absurdusisyourmaster I am actually in the process of recording my debut CD, but due to a hectic schedule it won't be ready until 2012. But I'll keep you updated!

  • @kebunator ok we keep in touch for that, man ! have a good job and good trip.

  • Your videos are truly amazing!

  • Your videos are truly amazing!

  • This is pure art, man. True live techno. Really love it!

  • very nice, did you compress the sound , or didi you do any other master ?

  • @TR0jAX As stated in the description, the output from the mixer was recorded with a stereo cassette deck, which provides some natural tape compression. Mild EQ and limiting was used in the final digital mastering stage.

  • Thank you. I'm in London, and the sun is shining, and I was surfing and caught this on the tube. I'm smiling man. Lovely. :) Happy Happy music.

  • Brilliant! Thx for sharing!

  • Another masterpiece! Awesome! Kudos to you!

  • Very nice track, i like it!

  • In my superprefer.!!! Bravo!

  • I know this is probably really simple, but how do you make the panning of the Juno-60 at the start?

  • @bjcsupertortoise Yes it's very simple: dry signal left, delayed signal right. :)

  • @kebunator Ah, thanks, I never knew that technique :-)

  • This was excellent!

  • Great track and great performance. Nice old synths you have.

  • Fantastic work! best analogue synth control i have seen on the tube! I love the little touches like the noise sweeps and pedal vcf control. Thanks for posting!

    Oh, and great video editing.

  • major awesome mate...words fail...you have major talent! thanks again!

  • Your socks rock!

  • Great performance and track!!

  • Nice tune... love the Logan stringsound!

  • Beatifull melodic line. Well done.

  • Wow, very nice song.

I have a question, where did you get that fantastic keyboard stand? (the one with the Juno-60, 606, Small stone etc on it?

  • @olafwagner It is a Jaspers 4D-120S. Not that quick to disassemble and assemble, but fantastic for optimising the use of space in a small studio!

  • I like your attention to detail like putting your name on the machine in the same font. Nice touche.

  • There's hope for music... even in Finland! :D

  • Wow, just wow! You make beautiful music!

  • Masterpiece!!!***** Best regards from Switzerland.....Bruno

    All the best from France.

    Laurent BOUDIC

(Check my works by checking my name thru google, you could be interesting by my analogue studio and stuff that i did thru the years ;)

    Take care!

  • @gencom Many thanks! Really appreciate your comment, especially coming from a professional! I checked out your work as well. Great stuff! All the best from Finland.

  • God damn I love this tune. Made my hair rise on my neck... Absolutely awesome!!

  • Absolutely beautiful. I wound up here because I had a song in my mp3 playlist called "shivers of life" from back when I had been hunting for vintage synth demos and samples years ago. I rediscovered it today and decided to Google the artist name. You know, it takes me days to put together a song and my songs aren't this good at all. You just stand in front of a keyboard and knock it out of the park. I'm glad there are people like you, or the world would just suck in stereo.

  • @Xezlec Wow, thanks a lot! Amazing that you had "Shivers of life" on your playlist! I think it was the first synth tune I ever made, probably around 1998-1999. I'll promise to keep the videos coming, at least in spring.

  • Very good performance¡¡Awesome my friends¡¡

  • Great video!

  • What kind of cable are you using to sync the Juno with the 606? 606 has a different trigger out size than the Juno-6's in...

  • @TIPPERBLK Actually I used a Doepfer cable with 3.5 mm plugs with a typical headphones adapter plug (from 3.5 to 6.3 mm, stereo) and that works. You could also use an ordinary guitar cable and a 6.3 -> 3.5 mm adapter on one end.

  • @kebunator Ah I see thanks, thought there must have been some kind of adapter in use.

  • I`m happy to see your enthusuiasm! Well done, carry on!

  • zu viel bei Jean-Michel Jarre abgehört?? Sehr gut!!

  • seems you have been enjoying Jean-Michel Jarre a lot.. Very Good!!

  • @manhenk Ein bisschen, vielleicht... :)

  • @manhenk

    Inspiration ist das Zauberwort!

  • Duuude ... absolute eargasm... <3

  • +++BRAVO!+++

You really know how to operate the equipment

  • well done nice to see live performance - i must say im jealous of your logan which i want- along with your axxe and the korg mono poly in the background- all synths on my wish list!

  • Hello, I must admit that I like what I see and hear very much. Thats what I call great ideas in work. And I like your older machines very much too. When I saw how you combine the tones I realized you the right person to ask. I produce music for 14 years, and I learned everything on my own. But I lack very much in one thing, and that is tone combining. You know - like that after A cant come E - for example. Is there any easy way to learn how to use tones?(Im affraid I dont have music hearing) thx

  • @HybOj Thanks!

The logical answer to your question would be "study music theory". It will help somewhat, but you need to couple it with active music listening and analysing for it to actually help. But it takes of course time and can be very tedious. The easiest way (and my suggestion) is to take songs you really like and pick out the chord sequence or melody in those. Focus on the parts you like the best or would like to understand. Be sure to start with an easy tune!

  • Nice! Thanks for taking the time with multiple camera takes, which keeps it interesting, I can tell you enjoy using your great collection. Nice to see a Vesta Kaza still being used, I have mine still but sadly there's something wrong with it. Top marks for a creative use of the 606 too.

  • absolutly superb!

  • Great stuff!

  • this Track is a fanthastic Composition, i like it ! 5*****

  • Sounds like Magnetic Fields at the start. :)

  • Its so wonderful to watch a live, inspirational synth performance!

Awesome synths too! It looks as if you were talking to your Juno there. :) Your synths are happy, I can tell. :)

Keep up the totally awesome work!!

    :) TheSynthFreq

  • very nice

  • That logan sounds great

  • Great job and also very nice vintage gear !

  • Excellent dude.

  • Hey really nice man:;)

  • nice shit. in a way thats how some of my techno live sets are done. arpegiators and triggers are the kamm. i just did an electro live set that used the 808's triggers for 2 mono/polys and a poly 6. along with using a drum pad to trigger one monopoly..nice video man.

  • Excellent stuff Sir!

  • Impressive, very Jarreish!

  • NIEZLA SCIEMA _ FAKE

  • Nice sound!

    Great job!

    Congratulation!

  • Sairaan upeeta. Roffessionaalista.

  • I really like this tune but also the To The Unknown Woman track. Maybe that could be a nice concept for an album to do: write tunes that in their use of sounds pay hommage to the synth-greats. You already got Vangelis and Jarre covered :-)

  • Great video. I particularly like the way you play the arpeggiated Juno. Must have been a lot of fun!

  • Just logged in to say this is great.

  • Respect to you! GREAT job! Let's work together on a project.

  • Wow, great peice!!! I love it! (I dig the multi camera takes to . . I may have to try that sometime! ;-)

  • Nice job! I did a video of my 808 triggering my Juno 6 but you've put me to shame.

  • As I said on KVR: Just brilliant!

    Cheers

    Dennis

  • Excellent! :)

  • Groovy track! Amazing use of this vintage equipment. And good job, Heidi ;-)!

  • Excellent work!

Such a simple sequenced idea but the result is phenomenal with the limited equipment. That Logan is v lush sounding...

  • hi. i buld analogue synthesiser modules and also play music. look it up to what degree if you're interested.

this is a great performance and a credit to your craft and the community. i'm really actually quite blown away at what i saw when i finally clicked "play" on this link.

keep it up and i'm very glad you're doing this.

  • Unreal man. Your videos are a real tribute to these machines.

  • Super!

  • very nice!

  • Ya know, I saw Four Tet tonight and I would have much rather seen you jam this... Thank you!

  • Amazing! Keep up the good work!

  • super fantastic!

I agree with the laptop sentiment. Synths are the way to go for me. Great track. I loved seeing the recorder stopped too, nice touch.

  • I think you should do this in concert and teach people how boring it is to just watch someone with just a laptop! I really dig the piece

  • @gearslutdog Thanks! You know, I'd really love to that and have been thinking about it for a year now. I just need to build up my repertoire first... :)

And I totally agree about watching people glaring at laptops on stage. Laptops really ruin the show.

  • @kebunator

No repertoire - just jam it out with a few patterns ready on the 606/808 and all synths set to arpeggiate!!

  • @gearslutdog Heh, good idea!

  • Good job. Assume you did multiple camera takes after...?

  • @gearslutdog Yeah, the music was recorded in one go, but the video was recorded with multiple camera takes :)
