His voice was so heartfelt and it makes you feel good inside. I will pass his voice on to all that I know. The beloved Dub will not be lost in time. I swear to it.

It's interesting to hear Patrick Kavanagh say his poem, but it lacks the depth that Ronnie's voice brings to it. PK's is to thin and high-pitched. Love this song.

even if i did not know Ronnie Drew, i did find his songs so beautiful, and his voice so special that i cannot but grieve his leaving...dramatics are not generally encouraged, but Ronnies singing voice was so dramatic that we now miss it, and miss him for all that. Sweet peace to you Ronnie Drew.

After Kavanagh and Ronnie decided to go for a few sups , they listed all the pubs they were barred from, hence Kavanagh's suggestion re Dun Laoghaire (I hope this makes sense)

Ronnie met with Kavanagh, they decided to Kavanagh says "ok Feck The begrudgers, we will have to catch the DART down to Dun Laoghaire. Will you Feck off I'm barred out of the town for life (Ronnie was from Dun Laoghaire)

Kavanagh touched his cap and said well maybe a Jar when our memories aren't so good!
