I gave him my support because he needed it and for no other reason, I hope things stay good for him and that people will wake up and see that what they say can hurt.
I think you are making a mockery of the suffering Jonah has endured.
He never said that he lied about being bullied and if you pay attention in his second video you can tell that, yes he was being bullied and hurt himself and YES things were bad for him but in that four month period as I said in my comment in your other video, things changed. They got better. This boy is probably still hurting and facing abuse from the negative people in his life.
@stephenturner2412 There comes a time in every young person's life when he or she ought to acquire a sense of respect, for those who care for them in a time of need (like pretty much the entire Youtube community) and for their other allies (other homosexuals who he's essentially insulted for making a mockery out of their problems. I don't doubt he experienced bullying but God only knows how insignificant it was if he was then able to claim being the most popular kid in school.)
@stephenturner2412 By the way my words aren't completely misguided, this is coming from a homosexual who was at one point bullied as well. Appealing to the public, then being nothing but a little stereotypical gay bitch later is counterproductive. Oh well, enough time has elapsed since then that no one really cares anymore. If he comes on making another sob-story video no one's going to believe him.
@IchWerdeSterben111 Yes there is a time to become more mature, it's called life. Admitedly I didn't start to "cop on" till I was about 16 but it happens and it'll happen to him. Can you please factor in the timeline of these videos, there is a four month window between them a lot can change especially when the video goes viral. He may or may not be the most popular kid in school now but I'm sure things have got a dam sight easier for him.
@IchWerdeSterben111 I've been bullied, you've been bullied, 99% of school children will be bullied in there lives. I was suicidal at a point, then my mind clicked into gear and I got past it. Enough time has gone by for him, but not for the thousands of others who keep mimcing his video to get their stories across and rather then belittle him to Youtube you should do something a little more productive to help those who need it.
@stephenturner2412 What exactly do you think I'm getting at? I'm an ally in the fight to end bullying. I'm outspoken, and have been for a few years, at alleviating and eliminating this type of torture. All I care to share are my ideas on ways *both* parties, including (as crazy as this might sound to you) the victims, can help their cause. One of such methods is to act respectfully to the many who take time to help.
@stephenturner2412 But, I realize he's young, and I get that he's inexperienced, and I understand that he's grown. That's why I haven't harped on about the issue for months like some people have. To be this is a null-issue now. He's clearly recovered at lightning speed with absolutely *nothing* obstructing his fab future as the most popular kid in school, so, I agree, we have other things to worry about.
@IchWerdeSterben111 Respect is earned, I gave it and you lost it, you have a little bit of it right now. Both parties do need to do their parts. The victim is usualy the one protesting and nothing is heard from the bully, in my experience. However, things seem to be going ok for this one boy. More needs to be done, and we shall continue to do it.
@stephenturner2412 Will there ever be a day when a participant in an objective debate doesn't insult their adversary? Your responses, rather than being driven by justice or the need to be right, include really irritating, completely irrational and irrelevant elements like "I gave it and you lost it". It's people like you that make democratic debates so difficult to function properly.
