The idea of X making his mineshaft gives me the same idea just making a floor out of glass.

P.S. Make glass guides to see your project and be protected. Also you can make gold walls but you need 8 gold bars and surround the crafting square like making a chest. As you see it is "expensive" to make them. A few little tips for you, X from a former Minecrafter.

Make a clock when you hit redstone. You put the golden ingots on the top and sides of the crafting table and then you put in a redstone in the middle and that makes a clock. Their not that useful but cool to have. Also you can make a compass if you get lost you make that the same way as the clock except with iron ingots

If you have a ton of resources and u dont want to waste coal or wood, thenuse a bucket of lava. It wastes three iron ingots, but you get infinite fuel for that one use. And golden bars are useful for clocks and powered minecart rails.

@TheEMASSEY No you didn't. I could make a hole in bedrock like that with a normal pickaxe. I just need to find a suitable spot. Either that, or when the guy generated the sphere, it was too big and part of it tried to go lower than bedrock but was not able so it just cut of there.
