Oh btw. Damascus Steel drops from Dune's in The Pharos, Penumbra. Just to let people know. It is easier and faster then KaddyGamer's method.

@FF12Merchant I stole my Damascus Steels off Bluesang. I saved my game at Cerobbi Steppe - Journey's Rest in the middle, then went north and found Bluesang underneath the windmill towers where the minefield is. Steal, save game, repeat. Zone out if he isn't there. That's easiest method in my book.

This Isn't the only Way to get orichalcum. I'm not 100% sure but I thinjk It's a rare steal from Mythril golem in girvigan.

i know an easier way of getting a mallet, cuz there was a time when i had like 4 or 5 mallets but i just don't remember where, maybe from those reaper monsters in the nechrohol of nabudis

but what's really a shame is that i sold all of my mallets without knowing their use =(

I remember getting some Orichalcum in the upper level of the Great Crystal, but this way is probably easier, considering the levels of the monsters and having-a-map-ness.

i was thinking about getting 3 brave suit (3 just in case) and then putting an ally hp in critical put berseker on him/her and use decoy so u dont need to alway put bravery the only thing left to put is berseker

Pretty much. Attached with the genji set of armor and your dude is pretty much guaranteed to hit a monster multiple times. It's a good damage dealer.

exactly with low hp and berserk you can easily hit over 6000+ with a multiple of 5+combos.

How about unlocking Tournesol and Masamune at the same time! Even better and I did it to save me from ass burning farming. Basically just sell all the required gemsteels, serpentarius, empyreal soul, orihalcum and mallet all at the same time. Bam! Two bad ass weapons in one shot, now pass me a cookie...lol!

And regarding your question about using Masamune w/out Genji gloves, yes your player will still perform combos but not as many when it is equipped. With it, especially at critical HP, you'll deal a maximum 10-11 combo blows and is very effective when you have a berserk or bravery status. You'll be killing some Elite Hunt/s in no time, trust me!

i usualy get around 4 combo hits with Masamune, tho everyone says its a 1h so i can use the Genji shield with it, Thats a lie! its a effing 2h >:( but its still good :3

lol, done all of them in my last game, i just went back to the game there and beat fafnir in under 5 mins,(99 lvl and masumune tournesol, zodiac and reddas all berserked....easy peasy...

my party has two masamune n 1 tournesol n their just lvl 65 lolz but gettin it WASNT easy mostlly bcoz of the FUCKED up HELL GATES, damn luckily i was patient or not i wouldve stop at the 200 chain many times

You can't make 3 Tournesols. It's only limited to 1 per game.

Rofl! Thanks. Right at this moment my game is paused. And i am tryig to get the masamune. I got 1 gemsteel, and 1 mallet on my own (montblanc rewards. Kill the King Bomb to get a Mallet. Kill 8 espers to get a gemsteel) and i got all of te wierd orochi metal thingies by chaining Deiders. Well not chaining, more like random killing. I used your tournosel guide to get my second gemsteel. Now all i need is a Mallet. Time to kick some Bombshell BOOTY!
