Oh, and the reason I felt the cry-lump is because we kept singing that song the day we found out he died. One of the seniors sang the song at the concert at the end of the year. A LOT of emotions behind that song...I don't know why I didn't expect them to come back up again, and when they did, I thought of what you said in this video about how that happens a lot to woman. You know what you're talking about.

For goodness sake, this memory is from 1990, but those emotions felt so fresh because the memories came back like it all happened yesturday.

Like you said about getting choked up even though you have come to terms with something, I've gotten past all that stuff from 17 years ago but the emotions were so real today.

Urgh, that thing about experiencing emotions related to past events is SO true! I don't know if you remember that song by White Lion "When the Chidren Cry". Well, I heard just the beginning of it today and got reminded of when my choir teacher died in my 10th grade year of high school. And, in high school, I was having emotional problems to begin with, which the song also reminded me of. OK, I talk too much: this will have to be 2 comments.

But you are right - it is hard for others to adjust - it takes time. Remember I think your second day - I asked you what you wanted to be referred as- and you told me it didnt matter to you because its other peoples preceptions that we have to go by - in the customer service field. And it is a mean and cruel world. We try to adjust - and change our ways and then there are some people who just can't change.

i know how that is.. i try to come off as male to my brother and he still calls me "maggie" and "she" and "her". thing is, i'm actually presenting myself in a masculine way.grr.. well i care about you and i love to know about you and ask questions. i guess different people are meant to only know a certain side of you. like art club is only supposed to know the artistic side of you, and coworkers only know the worker side of you. too bad people can't see you wholey for you.
