Porsches sound much better in real life. People who complain about the sound have obviously never heard one in real life (except maybe an early Boxster, they really do sound like vacuum cleaners). Youtube doesn't do the exhaust notes any justice.

why they perform that good because the are masterpieces, don't forget that the beetle was also invented by Dr Ferdinand Porsche and scored also very good, they still made them till 2003. Its incredible how Porsche can push the limits of their displacement.

Only Honda, Porsche, BMW i know of would push alot of power out of the engine relative to displacement.

Add to the fact that it is a Rear engine car, how in the world does it handle so well and get great lap times?

If Porsche ever decides to put a Flat 8 in the 911 GT cars I would be scared. It probably won't happen though. Probably a 4 Liter Flat 6

@mikepartyboy the GT3 3.6 makes like 114hp/l thats one of the highest specific outputs in the world. Ferrari F430 is the only one I can think of off hand that beats it (118hp/l)

@mikepartyboy BMW once had a 1.5 liter turbo engine in their F1 car before those were banned, it either hat 1000 or 1500 horsepower, well it doesnt really matter anyways..

TVR pushed more power than this from their cars. Look at the Cerbera Speed 12. 960bhp from 7.7litres. In a car that weighed 975kg. BE AFRAID! BE VERY AFRAID....because there's another one being restored as we speak....

No, the 9ff max speed was 253mph, the veyron 255mph, and ssc aero now 257mph

well the GT3 RS is a road going racer. obviously the owners are going to drive them like that as well. i would. in South Africa (don't know bout other countries...?) your Porsche is covered for 5 years/100 000km-including service costs etc. so as long as Porsche SA can't prove you drove your GT3 round a track you can have 4 engine rebuilds in 100 000 km if need be...

i think the green and orange is too extreme iam happy with my white gt3 997 best colour. i still don't understand why the rs is worth getting in the states because you pay that extra money for upgrades that are not permitted into the USA so unless you live in europe the rs in my opinion is not worth the extra overprice a regular preown gt3 997 with 1000 miles will set you back 141k easy rs 179K way over factory msrp

De Carrera GT is de mooiste auto ooit gemaakt. Daarnaast is het ook nog de auto met het mooiste geluid ooit. Vind de GT3 RS ontzettend lelijk, maa rik moet toegeven dat het een geweldig gevoel was om ernaast te staan toen ik hem tegenkwam op het bedrijfsterrein van Porsche en jaar geleden.
