  • This is GREAT. You're very talented!

  • Do they shop at harrods he he he.

  • I'm being honest here- I thought the thumbnail was a shot from live action XD

  • That's brilliant! I really feel like I've seen the episode now. Are you planning on doing any more such as Power of the Daleks?

  • oh god...the original Cybermen were CREEPY.

  • I say remake these lost stories in animated form, and release them on dvd if possible.

  • Christ, the first gen cybermen are so goddamn annoying! Those voices are so grating! The voices they use now are a million times better

  • The best "DW" animation I've seen - you've brought one of the most important episodes in the history of the series to life. Thanks a million!

  • @munkittytunkitty No problems, working on a new mcuh better version now! :)

  • @colonelbarker Awesome! I started watching DW from 2001 at a young age, but this was the episode that really caught me into the fan crowd.

  • Reign of Terror is set for DVD release... maybe you should contact 2entertain about animating missing episodes. With a little more polish, I think you could make the cut!

  • @zebramag Hi there. I did. And my skills are much higher today. I have worked on a number of the DVD's since then, but there is no interest is missing animations.

  • @colonelbarker Sorry to hear that. I'd have loved to have seen your animation for Tenth Planet on a DVD release!

  • @zebramag Me too. I am working on another version of this, that is looking FANTASTIC at the moment.

  • @colonelbarker I seriously look forward to seeing a more streamlined version. This is seriously good quality! Thanks very much for this!

  • Excellent work.

  • is it just me, or do the cybermen seem to be singing? XD

  • ColonelBarker Deserves an award for this.

  • 0.57 Bitch slap lol!

  • i love it at 0:55

  • If Ben had a cybergun (he's supposed to have grabbed it of the guard who tried to walk in I think ) why mess around with the rods why not just blast them?

  • Very nicely done.

  • The cybermen are the bast monsters in doctor who

  • Is it from this first Cyberman storyline that the creators of The Simpsons came up with the voice of Professor John Frink? They sound very similar lol

  • Fucking excellent work! Good job

  • wow, beautifally synchronized with the audio

  • You know, this doesn't look half bad. Certainly much better than that shitty Newgrounds project Cosgrove Hall produced for The Invasion. Sure, it looks cheap, but better to look budgeted than to look half-assed, I say.

  • omg :|

  • @Cerebus660 Hurrah!; what?

  • This is really nice work.

  • The early cybermen sound suspiciously like Robert Peston ...

  • That would make an excellent comedy sketch.

  • Why does the Cyberman sound like Jar Jar Binks

  • @martinf74

They sound a cross between an angry Chinese man and Microsoft Sam.

  • @badwolf66

Are u looking forward to the new series in the spring. Hopefully, they dont get carried away with "Geronimo"!!! as that will get old and irritating very quickly.

  • @martinf74

The catchphrases are starting to get annoying.

  • lol its like the cybermen r singing. Sum1 shud put a good tune to them talking

  • Thank you for making this and posting it and it is good to have this until they find the missing episodes.

  • Someone should start a petition online, so the destroyed episodes can be remade with funding and a CGI team helping this brave fellow.

I have two big thumbs up for you !-!

  • Cheers, there is already a petition online somewhere.

    Glad you enjoyed it!

  • with all due respect to your opinion, the modelling and animation is rather subpar in this work. Not very lifelike at all... rather plasticine and childish looking, in fact, so I'd rather just listen to the audio than watch more episodes in this style.

More of The Invasion, please, though.

  • @thenic123 I say it would be a great idea, to remake these destroyed episodes in animated form and release them on dvd.

  • Comment removed

  • Shit.

This should have been done by BBC a while ago, but they are so retarted. They still think they can find more lost episodes.

You have done the most logical thing and made the episodes from CGI.

Seriously you should take this to BBC and show them what you have done. If u can do this by yourself, imagine what could be done with more money and people working on projects on this.

The Tenth Planet Cybermen even though they r shodely put togther, r the best.

  • 0:58...PWN'ED! XD

Where'd Ben get the Cybergun at the end?

  • Haha, he grabbed it from the Cyberman he killed at the doorway in the radiation room.

  • Hmm, I did not recall seeing Ben get the gun. I must have missed it. o.o

  • Honestly I didn't animate it, as it wasn't in the camera script.

  • This is incredible!!!!!! The cybermen look amazing! :D

  • i. absoloutly. love. their. voices!

  • This is excellent.

  • Oh, cheers. Keeping in mind I made it straight out of high school. The next one will look much, much better!

  • LOL, love when the cyberman knocks that dude out. Hilarious. I just watched the previous parts of this so these uploads are a godsend. Thank you very much.

  • Very good it retains the atmosphere

  • As the 9th doctor would say - fantastic

And I'm looking forward to the power of the daleks and the moonbase

The Tenth planet has been 2nd in my most fav Doctor who storys ever, Number 1 is Spare Parts by Marc platt possibly you could animate that as well then you'll have lots more thank you's

    Thanks

    SpaceDJ3

  • Hi there, I am afraid that won't happen, I have about 106 other missing episodes to do first that, at about a year an episode means I won't get to doing audios I am afraid.

  • no worries

  • Awesome!

You should be knighted for this!

  • Correction, he should be hired by BCC Video and be paid to animate the missing episodes that the idiots decided to destroy back in the early 70's. :)

  • I'd love to see what he could do now, two years later, I bet it be top notch. :)

  • Nice job on this.

I was just watching this episode, really got into it, then got to the last part and got the reality that it had been a wiped episode. So disapointed. But this is a great way to watch it.

Btw, I love the Cybermen. Awesomeness! Their look and voice would have given me nightmares as a kid.

  • the cybermen sound like Japanese robots, lol (no offence to any japanese people)

  • They do a little, not my area really, I just did the animation work!

  • I know, I was just commenting, you've done some great work here I'd rather watch this than any recon anyday

  • Awesome,awesome,awesome,awesome,awsome.

  • I thought that was so funny at 0.58

  • Oh.. thank you. I think.

  • YOU ARE A GOD! BBC should be using CGI to remake the old episodes, instead of the crap animation they are using now.

  • Oh, thank you. Honestly though I think the likenesses are far superior in 2D, so it's a matter of hitting that balance.

  • Yeah the likeness is a tad better but the animation is terrible. I (and you would have aswell) have better animation, it is way to stiff.

  • hello colonelbarker i am a big fan of the old and new doctor who and i think that cyberman story is brilliant i think you could do that for other missing episodes

  • I gotta admit...I laughed at 0:58

    Pretty Damn Good Animation

  • me too

i still think they're creepier than the current ones though

  • Me too. That was funny. :)

  • Very well made. I loved it!

  • The cybermen look better in this than the original, Polly, Ben and the Doctor look a bit odd through.

  • They do, people seem to have taken to my CGI Cybermen quite a lot, but not the humans. Hopefully they will look better in the future.

  • This is very compelling stuff. I clicked on it as a curiosity but I'm quite in to it now.

    Great Job.

  • Cheers, thanks for the feedback.

  • ha i love the cyberman voice it sounds like they are singing. The first cyberman remain my fav design

  • Cheers- I love the design myself!

  • Great job!

  • Cheers

  • amazing for a animation!!

  • i was going to get tomb of cyberman figure but now tenth planet

  • getting it on thursday

  • Cool, mine were dispatched this week, but being in Australia they are going to take their sweet arse time getting here!

  • i know im getting this figure thats one thing realeasd!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I have pre-ordered x3 complete sets of the Classic Cybermen. Can't wait for them to arrive!

  • ive sent a email to bbc to bring back this cybermen

  • ha! We can hope. They have just released a toy figure in this style though.

  • Its proper class! The Cybermen sound so retarded which makes them sooooo exxxxccting! They should have retained these voices throughtout the series and into the new series

  • It is, I quite like the voices, Big Finish have used them on occasion, that's been nice.

    Glad your enjoying it!

  • The older Cybermen had wonderful voices.

    Weeeee will not...discuss our plans..wiiiiith...you.

  • The man who is the voice of the cybermen was also the voice of the daleks.

  • Fantastic. simply awesome. I've always wanted to get the CD version but it's just not the same as WATCHING Dr. Who. I hope Power of the Daleks turns out as good, if not better.

  • It will be better! I assure you, however there is a balance to be met. As quality goes up, the time it takes shoots up into the sky at huge rate.

I am going to hit the curve somewhere at the bottom.

    Cheers,

    Aaron

  • Thank you so much, this was brilliant to watch!

  • Cheers- glad you liked it!

  • They kinda sounded like Bluebottle from the goons

  • Haha :D

  • I was was just watching the first three again and hate being left off with a cliff hanger. Thanks doing episode 4. I do computer animation as well for Ikuzo! StudioS. Let me know if you ever need some animation done. Great job with this. Do the Dalek Master Plan next.

  • where i cant find them on youtube

  • Where did u get the sound track from? is it still in existence?

  • Sorry to be sarcastic, but yes the soundtrack does exist- it's right here on the video!

As for where I for it from, it's a cut between the BBC CD Release and the BBV Video release, using the cleanest sections, the CD is clearer, but has narration, so I cut between the two to get the best sound.

It's from an off-air recording from the 60's.

    Glad you enjoyed it.

    Aaron

  • Brilliantly done :D At least your cybermen open their mouths at the right time. I heard the real actors had trouble not knowing when to open their mouths lol Good luck with your career in animation. :)

  • Haha! True- yes I did kind of keep that in mind when syncing it, trying to get that 'sing-song' approach to the animation.

    Thanks for the luck.

    Aaron

  • This is very well put together! Do you think you and your team could work on the classic Cybermen story "The MoonBase"?

  • Haha- team. 'fraid not, it's just the one of me on my lonesome. At the moment I am working on Power of the Daleks.

But I am sure Moonbase won't be too far away.

    Cheers,

    Aaron

  • Yes, plaease do Power next!! Will you be sharig that as well? I had to save a copy of this one...better then recons or straight audio.

    Thanks again!

    Please do more!! :)

  • Yes, currently working on Power, and will be up here once it's done. But there is a LONG way to go on it.

    Cheers,

    Aaron

  • It is good that you are working on the Power Of The Daleks especially since it might be the first Patrick Trouton episode which comes after this.

  • Wow! This is AMAZING! Thank you so much!

Oh, and I keep replaying the Cybermen punch. Classic xD

  • Cheers. Everyone seems to like the punch :D

  • LOL at the Cyberman's sucker punch at :58

  • yeah. had to add, much better than just a push :D

  • coooooooooooooooooooooooooooooool

  • The very first Cybermen look a lot scarier in CGI.

  • Cheers. :)

  • Nothing special?!?! NOTHING SPECIAL? It's bloody marvellous - it looks fantastic; way better than the animation for The Invasion.

You've done wonders on this and I take my hat off to you.

    Paul

  • Thank you, glad you approve. But the next animation will be a HUGE HUGE step up. So if you like this, you will LOVE the next one.

    Cheers

    CB

  • Brilliant work!

  • Cheers.

  • you should send this to the BBC to put on the tenth planet DVD when it is released.

  • Hey there. I sent in a video of the animation in when it was finished back in 2006, but they really weren't interested at all, I think because the invasion had just come out.

I have been working doing other work on the DVD team though since then. I hope one day if they can put a budget and get a team it could happen. Fingers crossed.

    Colonel Barker.
