Also, you don´t seem to stop at the end of the bow. You mix one up bow with the down one. My teacher says it should stop to be real staccato. I am really confused now.

My teacher insist that the staccato is faster and shorter than the way you play it. I usually do it like yours, using longer bow, but he actually makes almost a centimeter of bow and really fast. So, what is the right way?

Sincere advice: Return to lessons. You regret it now? How much will you in 20 more yrs. I had lessons as a child & restarted at 21. By then I was already a semi-pro player. Spent the next 50 years working as muso, travelling around UK, Europe AND USA. Still playing.

It's not too late but you'll be surprised how quickly it will be!! No time like the present. MAKE TIME. YouTime! You owe it yourself. That way you'll have only 20 yrs regret, not a lifetime. Good Luck. Update me!
