Wow you couldn't figure this movie out our you for real!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was a copy of the 1989 movie down to joker dieing by falling out of a building.
Even down to the part were batman and joker get into a car chase!!Best picture try again folks.
What other films have you reviewed? I rented No Country For Old Men several days ago, but never got around to watching it. Also can't wait for the live adaptation of Clive Owen's The Thief of Always, which is still knee deep in production.
So it looks like those involved with the new Superman film are looking to be original in the same vein as Nolan by calling the sequel to Superman Returns simply "Man of Steel". Of course, stealing an idea isn't all that original now, is it? =)
It was interesting how Dent was portrayed as a "white knight" of sorts; this incredibly good and virtuous character. In truth, he wasn't all that noble, in my opinion. Regardless of what happens to Dent in this film (and it's horrific), attempted murder on an innocent child is out of the question. That's a sick idea from an evil mind. Although Batman makes some questionable choices here, he does it for the greater good. So it isn't truly Dent who was the "best of" the triumvirate at all.
BTW, did you notice that the scene where Bruce laments on the loss of a ummmm.. certain character mirrors that of another scene from Batman Begins, i.e., young Bruce's conversation with Alfred following the murder of his parents? Even the music used here is deliberately the same. =)
Early on in Batman Begins, we see a flashback where Alfred offers supper to an eight year old Bruce, as he stares out the window. Bruce initially ignores Alfred to which he responds, "Very well..", but just as he is about to walk away, Bruce yells, "Alfred! It was my fault!!" Same deal in TDK. Alfred offers Wayne breakfast, gets no response from him and just as he takes his leave with a "very well", Bruce cries out, "Alfred.. Did I bring this on her??" History repeats itself.
Well, it sort of came from just a funny day Tonya and I (we both run this account) had. We had been doing this project on the 5 most influential people to ever live. And one person was doing a presentation, and when I laugh, I cry sometimes out of my right eye. When it came to the slide of Andrew Carnegie, I began crying and laughing hysterically for no apparent reason. I forget how the hotdogs worked in exactly. But thats pretty much it. XD
My eyes are pretty sensitive, as well. Always have been. Cool story, by the by.
The significance behind my name isn't quite as interesting though. It was inspired from a classic Soundgarden song (about ignorant celebrities, e.g., fashion models and musicians, who somehow consider themselves on par with deity-like figures) called Jesus Christ Pose. There's actually a specific line/lyric that goes, "Arms held out in your Jesus Christ Pose" and I guess it just seemed like a cool name to use.
It kinda bothers me that some people will assume that Heath is receiving all these accolades solely because of his untimely death. And that just isn't true! He earned every word of praise that has been uttered in response to his awesome performance. And yeah, I was actually aware of Ledger's improvisation in the film. With the simplest of words and/or gestures, he managed to get incredibly strong reactions from audiences, myself included. That's what you call acting!
Agreed! If they had told no one that it was Heath Ledger, you wouldnt know. His appearance. His acting. Ive seen people put it this way, and it pretty much explains it: "You arent seeing a movie with Heath Ledger in it. You are seeing a movie with the Joker in it."
When the Nolan's opted to simply call this film The Dark Knight (the first film in the franchise w/o a reference to Batman in the title), I knew we were in for something special. This is simply a haunting crime drama inspired by some of the very best comics and graphic novels pertaining to the character. If you girls like this, you should really check out The Prestige. Both Nolan brothers collaborated on that one, as well. Jonah's influence was absent from Chris' Batman Begins, however.
It truly is excellent, but much like The Dark Knight, Prestige is a film rooted in tragedy where nothing is what it seems.
Ya know what's funny? A lot of people slag on Joel Schumacher's campy Batman and Robin (and rightly so), but without that aberration of a movie, we never would have gotten Chris Nolan's Batman Begins followed by the "awesomeness that is The Dark Knight". So thanks Joel!
The Dark Knight is a great film. I applaud Chris & Jonah Nolan for having the guts to delve into some of very best Batman graphic novels out there (e.g., The Long Halloween, Dark Victory, Arkham Asylum). Wasn't Heath just brilliant? I'm not easily impressed, but let me tell you, I was hooked from the second he did his little "magic trick" early on in the film. And Kudos to Eckhart for delivering a heartfelt, anguished performance! Maggie brough Dawes to life and Bale truly is The Dark Knight!
Yes. Heath Ledgers performance was amazing. His death is a shame but at least he has the jewel we can all look back on. But yes, all of the acting in my opinion was brilliantly executed. Did you know, the scene where the Joker is in jail and they announce the guy a new commissioner and he starts clapping was improve? And he came up with the Jokers tick (licking his lips) on his own as well.
I thought the movie was great, Yeah I'm a couple years late.

Oh yes, I remember that. Thats a great film technique. Shows thought was put into the character development.

Exactly.
So is there any significance to your name, i.e., AndyDogVlog?
