That's a "speed reload" if I'm not mistaken. Pretty sure you can't drop your mag in IDPA unless maybe you are slide locked. Not 100% sure, I only compete IPSC
You are right on the rule. But for this I did not lock the slide back. I have run dry and not had the slide lock back, in witch case the slide would need to be racked to chamber a new round.
That reload wouldn't be allowed in IDPA. lol

You should be looking at the mag well when you insert or your reload will work sometimes but not all times.

You need to move to Colorado! CA is far to restricted in terms of gun laws. Not to mention we have IDPA comps here every month, just west of Denver!
