  • im like 3 seconds into your video and i love it alredy i absolutely love ccr theyre one of my favorites of all time!!! i remember hanging out with my dad in his old pick up truck when i was little always jamming ccr! love it! this just made me smile so big! :)

  • cNT SEE

  • Awesome except for the unhygienic way you used your finger to get the buffing cream out of the jar. The proper way would be to use a spatula. Leather buffers are also impossibly to disinfect.

  • what is that liquid in the nail polish bottle called??

    great video btw!! very helpful!

  • How are we supposed to actually see the one ball method when you film it from this angle? Hmm. *sigh*

  • HI I JUST WANTED TO ASK WAT PRODUCTS DO U USE IVE TRIED TAMMY TAYLOR I DIDNT WORK TO MUCH FOR ME AND KISS, AND SUPER NAIL IDK MAYBE ITS ME BUT I CAN GET IT TO LAY PERFECT BUT THEY LIFT LIKE TWO DAYS LATER SOME TIMES THE SAME NIGHT PLEASE HELP ME I JUST FINISH SCHOOL FOR NAILS AND IF I DONT GET IT CORRECT ILL NEVER GET IT I GUESS... THANKS ONE CONFUSED LADY LOL

  • @Jazzylady901 hey chica i was going through your same dilemma and its all in the nail prep...u have to do a proper prep and rid the nail of all containments using a dehydrator and your lifting problems would soon be over....look up some nail prep videos to guide u along

  • @Jazzylady901 :) Try No Lift Primer, you can find them on the net . 2nd Clean dead skin around the cuticles. 3rd when u put on the acrylic , stay around the cuticle a lil bit . also make sure you make the surface of your nail bed a lil rough before applying the primer .

  • what's the brand of the brush you're using?

  • @hspva you can use any brand.... as long as it's KOLINSKY SABLE hair.... they all are the same. I use a number 8 and 12.

  • @alyjeshy NUMERO 8 o 12.... kolinsky sable... GRACIAS...

  • i cant find your email!!!!!!! lol i was gonna ask you whats that cream you put on the nail to buff it so shine can come out??? thanks

  • @MrORTIZLOVE Thanks for all your nice comments! The cream is Supernail Buffing Cream... when used with the buffer, the nails come out shiny and takes all the scratches out.... :)

  • beautiful!!! So you don't use a drill at all only manual files? How do you refill the pink?

  • Thanks.... yes, I use a drill also... but NOT in my demo's or on youtube.... TOO MANY CRITICS!! I've been using the drill for 21 years now since I got out of school...

  • amazing!!!!! could you please send me a list of thing i would need so i can try this at home please?? i always wanted to learn how to do that!!! :)

  • thanks! send me an email... or private message please.

  • DO MY NAILLLLLSSSSS

  • ok... LOL...

  • BestBlo(.)com

  • I've tried to do them before I watched your video and you make it look so easy! I was wondering when I did mind my powder seemed to dry really really fast, like I could hardly get it to cover my nail before it was dry on my brush. What do I do?

  • Hi.... my emails in the upper right corner.... email me and I'll tell you what to do.... there's only so many words you can type here & the explanation is a little long.

  • thanks a TONNN i tried and tried and have finally got it!!! DID it for my sister in law and came DAMN GOOD!!!Thanks REALLY!!! can u pls do a video on filling acrylics u know aftee a week or two when they come ahead,,ive searched a lot but am not getting a good video with enough info!!!

    pls..

  • You're very welcome. I'll try to a video for a back-fill.... but this is my busiest time of the year, so I probably won't be able to until September.... :)

  • hyee,i tried to do it for muself and they have come damn neat its just that im getting a thick layer neat the cuticles how do i avoid that ,,the finish is good but after i apply polish i can make out the thickness on the upper side of the nail ,,rest the middle section and towards the end are good ,,what do i do to give my nail an even look!!!

  • ok... apply the ball of acrylic in the center of the nail (0:16)..... then start pushing the product up to the cuticle (little pushes as shown in the vid), then pat and push the product toward the bottom of the tip. The cuticle area should have very little acrylic. The only other thing to do to get rid of the thick layer at the cuticle is keep filing it off or use a drill. My suggestion is try staying away from the cuticle - and keep practicing.

  • Also, you can practice on the nail tips until you get the hang of it..... push the product up to the top of the tip and stay about 1/8" away from the end.... try getting it really thin.... this should help.

  • thanks it was damn neat,,but i actually need to know the difference between clear acrylic and the pink one ,plus what type of POLISH REMOVER to use if we need to change the nail polish !!

    thanks

  • Welcome! Clear is see-through. Pink comes in different shades & varies from very see-thru to very deep (can't see through it at all).... if you're putting it over a design.... you want an acrylic which is clear so you can see the design. Changing nail polish.... pure acetone on a little cotton ball. It removes quick & dries quick so it won't affect the acrylic nails. :)

  • @rpparral oh i thought that pure acetone will remove the acrylics ...that is what i used when i was taking mine off:)

  • I can never be able to pick up so much at a time. And I have a 218 kolniey brush! Omg I get so mad some times. lol

  • It's because your brush isn't big enough. You need at least #8 or larger, depending on the length of the nail. Don't get mad!! practices makes perfect.... :)

  • Thank you!

  • love your work...I aspire to become this skilled

  • Thanks alot! I wish you luck!! :)

  • wow! thats amazing, this calls for a lot of practice

  • thanks and yes, it takes a little practice! :)

  • My nails NEVER looks this good when I get them done in a nail salon

  • You need to look at other peoples nails and see which ones you like and ask if they have problems with their nails... If they look good and don't have any problems... then ask where they get them done and what their name is. There are some good nail techs out there! But, thanks for your comment... I appreciate it!!

  • Opps sorry typo errors its my nails they are to long or the keyboard has dyslexic ...winks!!

  • Hi does anyone know where i can get a acrylic brush that is bigger than an #8and square the ones taht professionail uses i ahve asked them they will not say I live in Australia thank you... anyone!!

  • I'll look for you and reply later today. They really aren't square... they're oval, but when you use them, they look square.

  • i have trouble with lifting and breaking.

im pretty sure the breaking is from not having the acrylic thick enough. but the lifting i have no idea. its not cheap acrylic its tammy taylor. i prep the nail. but i still get lifting. how thick should i be applying the acrylic. and what are some more cheaper but good acrylic brands? help! haha

  • You probably don't have your monomer to powder ratio just right yet. Too wet and you'll have issues with lifting

  • I've posted my message several times and it won't post... probably message too long. Give me your email so I can explain.

  • does the nail have to be buff before the arcrylic painting?i paint flowers on paper but on the shined nail the paint just slides off

  • You can paint your flowers or whatever right on the tip with acrylic paint (the kind they sell in Michael's... Apple Barrel or whatever).... Then apply your acrylic right over your design (after it dries of course). It won't come off.

  • thank you. i'm giong to try it , i never seen it in pittsburgh b4.

  • is there glitter or something already on the tip of her nail.if so can you tell how its done? thanks

  • Yes... On the tip, just paint the glitter on with clear nail polish & whatever color glitter you want. Then cover it with clear acrylic. (the polish dries fast if you start with 1 nail and move on to all 10... then re-start with the first nail covering it in acrylic).

  • every time i put the acrylic on the nail to smooth it out, it gets all bumpy... why??

  • Sounds like the ratio is off... It's either too dry or it's the brand. Leave me your email and I can explain what you should be doing...

  • hw do u ensure d consistency with d ball method...is there steps..b/c i did it either it was 2 lumpy dried up rlly fast or it run ....cld u tell me how 2 get it jus right.....

  • First, burp your brush 2 or 3 times. Then, swipe the brush on the side of the dappen dish. Place your brush on the powder and count to 3 slowly. When you lift up your brush, it should still have a tiny bit of powder that hasn't been absorbed by the liquid. Count to 3 again as you watch the powder disappear into the liquid. Your consistency should be perfect now.

  • If when you pick up your ball, it's runny... you've got too much liquid or your brush is too big. If it's too dry when you pick it up, you don't have enough liquid or your brush may be too small. Hope this helps!! Good luck!

  • and is the acyrlic powder a clear powder?

  • yes

  • hey i just bought some fake design nails from the store and i wanted to do the one ball method. could i do that? would that look right on my nail? b/c i dont have enough money to get it done. please help me out thanks so much!

  • yes and good luck! :)

  • thanks! and do you have any tips or advise on so i wont mess up?

  • Paty, me encantaron tus diseños, felicidades! me encantaria mucho aprender de ti, tienes e-mail?

  • Gracias! studio24lopez arroba hotmail punto com

  • ugh i could never get it even mines are always lumpy what can i do? and im just trying i want to be a nail tech and im just practicing

  • Theres a lot of reasons why they come out lumpy... 1. the brush is too dry. 2. You're OVER-working the acrylic. (just pat & push the product into place & leave it) 3. Brand of acrylic. At the end of this video is my email address. Email me & I can try & help you. Thanks

  • does any one know of a liquid acrylic that is odor less if so who makes it ?

  • OPI makes a good one.

  • is that the one you use ,,in this vid or just in general?also can you use any powder with the opi acrylic liquid?thanks

  • @jazmine224 There are a few odorless systems out there - OPI has one called Clarite, for instance (if you're even still looking)

  • How long does the Acrylic take to dry?

  • in just a few seconds. I use a quick dry liquid. There are others that give you a little longer time. Ask your beauty supplier.

  • what # brush is that ??

  • #8 flat oval.

  • What is that that she uses before she applies the cuticle oil?

Oh and btw BEAUTIFUL nail art!

  • It's buffing cream. It brings the nails to a nice shine. Thanks... Patty

Muchas gracias, amiga!! :) Patty

  • one question...somebody below said that they don't receive massages when they get they're acryclic in Chicago..but i learned that you only do massages when you do manicures.

Do you do massages when you do acrylic sets too?

  • No... not unless the client asks for one. Or as a special treat for a client whos down in the dumps. As a norm, the massages arent done for acrylics or gels... only for manicures. :)

  • lol i use CND too...the nails would lift...but i think it's my technique that did it..i'm still in school so i'm still learning!! and i see that you use cnd and the nails look great!! I definately learned something from this video

  • does buffing creme work better?

  • The buffing cream together with the buffer puts a great shine to the nails & takes out the little scratches. The only time I use a topcoat is when I've painted a design (flowers, etc..).

What's the point? I feel riped off!! lol Great work Patty!

  • Gracias.

  • What l&p product do you use?

  • I use CND (Creative Nail Design) products. I mix my own pink color for a more natural pink look (2 parts pink with 1 part clear) and use Retention Plus liquid.

    Thanks... Patty

  • wut wus that creme u put on da nail and then buffed???? just wondering?? ty ur vids are great.

  • Its buffing creme, you can use cuticle oil, however cremes have a more gentle abrasive constistency which aid the buffer. You get a much glassier shine when you use a buffing creme.

  • What size and brand of brush do you use?

  • It's a Kolinsky #8. However, for the One Ball Method, a #12 or larger is used... depends on the size of the nail you're doing.

  • It's also a flat oval.

  • Thank you so much for a response. Another question I have is how do you keep from messing up your own nails? I can do all of this art, I just can't do myself...well one hand and not the other. Thanks for all the help.

  • I really don't mess them up. Once in a while I get acrylic on my right pinky (right handed)... I use this for balance. I also use a product called Flex-Rapp... it protects your fingers when you file!! great stuff!! As far as doing your own nails.. alot of practice & patience!! LOL... when you do your left hand (if your right handed)... take your time... don't rush. I always do mine on Sundays when there's NO interuptions & it's quiet. Good luck... and thanks again...

  • Super fast!!! Woow, i really like your video, nice nail art, it looks like you've been doing nails for long, well done!!!

  • Thanks... LOL, all my clients tell me that I'm super fast too... Yes, I've been doing nails for 19 years... however, I learned this method right out of school! thanks again!! Patty

  • Tremendo muy bueno!!!

  • Gracias...

  • Veru Nice!

  • Thanks...
