Thank you thank you thank you!! I'm trying to do like three or four braids just on the side of my head and it's really difficult, and this is a very helpful video! And btw, if you don't mind my asking, are you Jamaican? You sound like you might have a Jamaican accent but just trying to hide it ;D haha Just wondering ^^;
@hmerlige what is wrong with you? You're so stupid. We like fried chicken, duh. Just shut up. That's why it's nappy is cause the grease gets into our hair. It's nice.
@AMPIFIED88 Hi dear. I appreciate you addressing this user, whose name isn't even worth mentioning. Ignorance is blissful; and I haven't time for any attention seeking excuse for a human being. They get deleted and blocked.
This was REALLY helpful. Cornrowing really intimidates me but I would like to learn so I can do a "cornrow out" style on my hair. The idea of "pushing hair" from one hand to another while holding two sections totally clicked something in place for me. I think before I was thinking about trying to manage 3 separate sections...as when making plaits. This made it seem so much simpler. I rushed right to the bathroom and tried it!
Great!! I am glad that it got you trying it out yourself. We (people/anyone)can all save so much if we learn how to do our hair instead of paying someone else. Anyway, I hope this video has helped to minimize the intimidation :)
I would like cornrows in my own hair but my mom says it takes my hair out and sice my hair goes down to my back she doesent want that to happen.But ur video will help me learn how to braid for later.and i can make money if I learn how to style
your hair looks very fuzzy liek not bad fuzzy lol i kept thinkin that when you were running your hands through it..but i think ill try and do this practice on my roomates haha
Hi Pinkpixie500, I watched the video to see what you were talking about (fuzzy), well, that's how my hair looks when I let it air dry without any product. Hope you have, or will try the plaits on your roommate's hair.
I would really like to answer your question dear, but I didn't understand it :( Could you pls. clarify. Sorry for the delay. Take care, and have a pleasant day:)
@2buck4dH8rz I don't think you need extensions. I didn't when I did the video, and my hair was about 4 inches then. May be you need a holding product like gel. Thanks :)
I started practicing on a doll, until I decided to try it on my own head. I started with singles, and graduated..LOL to corn-rows. Thanks for watching dear.
Thanks 4 this step by step on cornrowing hair- Ur hair is much like mine, but i didnt hear u say that u blow dried ur hair. How did u get it stretched out, do u sugest blow drying hair or do u think that its too damaging? I just started to do braids 4 protective styling and i luv them, but i cant braid my hair wet- i get no length!
You are welcome. I didn't blow-dry my hair for this video. I basically washed and conditioned it only. I also immediately held it up with clips, such as the white one you see in the video. I actually have blow-dried my hair twice now (once because I was in a rush to get to work), beginning a couple of months ago; however, I seldom blow-dry. It's just best to refrain from heat as much as one possible can.
Thanks for your question- I hope I've been helpful :)
Hi Zobofatesbestmate, Yeah, but first, Part the hair into two (from ear to ear), so that you can be able to cornrow half-way upto where the part stop. It should work for your hair- However, you might want to use a holding agent, like gel. Take care:)
I honestly think that it all depends on the hair. I will say however, that I have never used wax in my hair. In addition, I think that most of them are vaseline based. I hope that this helps. Thanks.
If I understand your question, you want to know how the natural and the attached hair stay together and in place. If so, all you do is just pick your natural hair up with the attachment as you braid. Hope that answers your question.
I am thinking about re-doing this tutorial; so, please check again. Take care:)
THANK YOU. Yeah, I kind of learned how to plait by watching. I then progress to doing others; and thought, wait a minute, let me try it on my head. It's now been over 14 years since I started doing my own, and haven't had to pay anyone for it- I like this aspect of it. It takes long though, and requires patience :)
